Oven Restaurant in Middlesbrough

Took my old man for a belated Father's Day with a three-course special. The food and service was exceptional. Everything was fresh with great flavour and seasoning. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. The staff were incredible and I wish I could give them and the restaurant the ten stars they deserve.

Many thanks to the owner and his wonderful staff for looking after our party of 15 yesterday evening!The food was fabulous and all waiting staff efficient and polite.We were saying goodbye to two much loved colleagues and you all made our evening so special and one to remember….even organising a photo shoot for our group!Thank you again, you’re a great team!

Fantastic meal. Staff very helpful. The food was amazing . Forgot to take photos except 1 of the moon bread! Selection of starters and breads. Then 2 had shin of beef which they said was lovely, 1 had lasagna (comes with garlic pizza style bread)-apparently Italian diners report it as the most authentic outside of Italy, and I had Egyptian stew with moon bread. A vegan dish - it was delicious. We couldn't eat everything - they have bags and boxes to pack things in. Big portions, no room for pudding. With drinks, just under £100 for 4 people. They do a fixed price menu too. Absolutely recommend it.

There were 15 of us last night and we all chose a wide variety of food. Every meal was fantastic, and beautifully presented. Most of all it was very very tasty and also well worth the price. The staff were great from start to finish, can't wait to return. Well done everyone at 'The Oven.'

Food was beautiful fast service and extremely polite staff even when busy which impressed me. Our waiter was called Paul and he is the loveliest person ever loves his job and does it with a smile and enthusiasm highly recommend this place for an all round special experience.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. The owners and the waitresses are brilliant and so friendly. They show great attention to detail and regularly check in with you to ensure you’re happy with everything. The food is excellent and the lamb is exquisite. Visited two days in a row and will definitely be returning again.

Amazing restaurant and good prices, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Even the tap water was exciting.Drinks were fun especially the daquiris and mine was non alcoholic. Food was a lot more interesting than the standard pizza and pasta place. The dessert was amazing and I ordered fruit tea which was a lot more interesting than just a teabag and water.The atmosphere is very nice too and you forget you are on Middlesborough high street. Would definitely recommend this place.

Visited this place with a couple of colleagues on a Monday night. Definitely not disappointed at all. The food and surroundings were excellent. I will be going back.

Fantastic food excellent staff . We had steak and chips and wanted a blue cheese sauce which wasn't on the menu but asked if they could do it . And nothing was to much trouble for the staff and chef who did what we required. Been here a few times and as usual everything was 5 star

Great service from the restaurant. We got an extra dessert and house made chocolates because they didn't have sticky toffee pudding. Great experience and everything was delish!
