Persian Cottage in Middlesbrough

Went to this place for a few times before the pandemic with my school mates, enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, the owner was very friendly and talkative, if I ever passed by middles borough will definitely visit this place again

Absolutely gorgeous. We got a mixed grill thing for 2 with rice and a bread and now we're both full. Meats cooked perfectly, rice is lovely and the bread is massive. Good value for money and car t wait to actually go in with the Mrs for a sit down meal and try more on the menu

We were so looking forward to eating here after all the great reviews. Started off well with a nice little complimentary salad but went downhill from there, 50 mins after ordering we still didn't have any food. After asking where it was, it appeared 5 minutes later. The food was cold, dry and my lamb fillet was tough, full of gristle and burnt on the edges. Burnt and cold!? At this point we were so hungry we just ate, paid and left. The service was rubbish, not once were we offered to have our drinks refilled or asked if our meal was ok, which it really wasn't. We were even charged for a bit of sauce. So, so disappointing. Had a better meal from the shawarma in town for £3 instead of £16 for this rubbish!

Such a warm, wonderful experience. Each dish was prepared with care and delivered beautifully. Without question the best aubergine recipes I’ve ever had the pleasure to taste. Genuinely great experience all-around. Thoughtful recommendations from our server, too. We’re already planning our next meal there. What are you waiting for? Go now.

Went here on Sunday for the first time and will definitely be going back. The food was definitely worth the money and the staff were so friendly.

Perfect place to dine-in for a quality and tasty food in MBR, Decent Kababs, Juicy red sauce chicken in the pic( a must try), hummus ,naan overall a satisfying experience. Dont forget to try their saffron Tea
