Porthole CAFE in Middlesbrough

Popped in for a quick coffee while my car was being fixed, what lovely friendly staff.made me and my aunt very welcome. I will without doubt call in again

Visited today wouldn't recommend at all went years ago and wasn't same owners no food in as asked for either sheperds pie or parmos didn't have any so ended up with x2 breakfast bacon and sasauges aren't pork drinks and cutlery weren't served until meals were brought blonde lady wasn't much crack tbh no conversation also very over priced quality is poor

A good place for English and Pakistani Desi breakfast. I only ever get the Pakistani breakfast, never tried anything else!

We popped in for some breakfast, I ordered a full English breakfast. The eggs were swimming in fat, there were only 5 slices of mushroom and 1 rasher of bacon which wasn't bacon it was a turkey rasher the breakfast was also minus the tomatoes which it was meant to come with. I found out after reading the very small print at the bottom of the menu that it was Halal bacon. I expect it to be advertised that they are a Halal cafe, not a footnote at the bottom of a menu. The menu is overpriced, with it being over £3.50 for a bacon and egg sandwich, which had 1 egg and two-piece of turkey rasher. I have no problem with eating Halal or purchasing it, but I would expect to know before I order food at a cafe that that is what is served. The overall standard of food and value is poor. However, we did get a reduction in price after complaining.

Went for coffee with a friend. Great customer service. Reasonable prices. I might visit again. I'm a happy customer 😃

First time at this place. It was nice and clean. Food is slight overpriced for what it is. Would rate the food 5/10.

Strange set up. Looks like a sort of takeaway inside with tables. Does serve coffee as the name suggests but didn't feel like a coffee shop and wasn't particularly clean. The lady serving was pleasant enough. I wouldn't visit for a second time.

Everything fresh and tasty and very tasty Kashmiri pink tea and fresh lamb paya serve everyday

One of the best Asian breakfast ever I had . Amazing food. Lovely staffs. All the items were soooo tasty👌
