Royal China in Middlesbrough

This used to be the best Chinese in Boro but the standards have went down the toilet. Got a steak that was more fat than meat, the gravy was like water and the chips were like plastic.

Perfect Chinese takeaway. We can even customise the food. Good quantity and high quality. Should try you guys

They do dim sum which is hard to get in Middlesbrough. Unfortunately the chicken curry is not very nice. Staff are helpful

Chips were dry duck was tough when I lived in Middlesbrough years ago this place was amazing but like everything else it's changed but not for the best.

Only Chinese Takeaway worth ordering from in Middlesbrough. Used them every other week for over 5 Years with no issues. Always properly cooked, good portions, decent prices and judging from the how quickly the food arrives, the delivery drivers are former getaway drivers or retired F1.

Rarely had a bad meal from Royal China think I was disappointed once and that was only because I didn’t like the taste of the dish and not an issue with the quality, Purely because I like to try different items on the menu.Great Food and Great service.The crispy aromatic duck is my favourite and highly recommended dish as it is full of duck pieces not just little scraps of bits. Lemon chicken is also fantastic.Highly recommend this place as the service of the team inside the take away is brilliant too.Thank you.

ordered the hong kong style sweet and sour chicken. Most of the tub was just a load of vegetables nobody asked for. If I wanted veg I wouldn't be ordering Chinese. It's just a cheap way to serve smaller portions. Nothing on the menu suggested this is how it would come. Also the spring rolls are the worst I've tasted in my life. I hate leaving bad reviews for restaurants but it was just extremely disappointing

Just had a delivery which was very good it was early. The food on the other hand was disgusting. The chips weren't cooked, chicken balls were rock hard. Beef chow mein was raw, the egg friend rice had plastic inside of it. N the curry was green. Not happy with it at all. The food has all gone in the bin was a complete waste of money.

I used to live seconds from here as a student and love chinese, so here's been a guilty pleasure for a long time. The standard has slipped a lot over the last few years though, and despite me giving them chance after chance out of fond memories, they've disappointed every time. Tonight was their last chance, food was 40min late, and cold on arrival. Then the replacement which I collected had 3incorrect items on there and parts of it were cold again. Massive shame

I live in NYC, I'm spoiled on Chinese food options, but whenever I'm back in Boro, I have to hit this place up. It's so good for that "taste of home". Great takeout food, lovely owners.
