Southern Cross in Middlesbrough

Went and had the xl mega mix grill, superb it was and massive. Finished it too.

Me and my wife always go in before local football games to have a couple of drinks and food before the games. We are always treated nicely and served very quickly. The staff are friendly and polite and go out of their way to express interest in our personal lives. Overall a very friendly pub environment. The food always come out looking delicious and is the perfect temperature. Even during busier periods the staff go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. We have recently decided to bring our furry friend down and all of the staff seem to really love their interactions with our puppy. This pub is one of the top in the area and we will continue to visit in the future.Special thanks to Reece and Thomas who always look happy to see us and make our visits special.

Came in for drinks for birthday celebration. We where a group of mixed ages and all enjoyed it. The staff where fabulous as always. Service was very quick and shanice was very friendly and caring. My favourite pub in Middlesbrough to come to.

Great venue for a good catch up with friends over lunch. Carole Ann looked after us well thanks.😁

Was a bit of a wait but was to be expected as it was Mother's Day. Excellent food and service

A great pint of "Green King Ale" & the best Rib Eye I have eaten even compared to £30 steaks & this 1 was only £13 !! (If I remember correctly) .I had mine Med/rare & it was moist ,tasted great & melt in the mouth.

Great drinks, food and friendly staff! I will definitely be returning. Thanks to Reece for finding us a table during a very busy period. The food was great and cheap too. We got 2 huge meals for under £10 and we were then told we could get a free drink and 10% off any other drinks if we downloaded a greene king app. This makes the drinks prices very competitive and was an added bonus to an already great pub. Food was really terrible, every bite of cheap burger meat poured fat out. Steak was to tough to chew and was told we couldn't have condiments because there wasn't enough. Beer was nice, would not recommend for food, definitely won't eat here again

Went for a comedy night and had a great time there. Staff are friendly, pub was clean and welcoming. Quite a large pub serving meals and drinks on a few floors. Plenty of parking and easily accessible from A174/A19, and also on a bus route with a stop outside. Definitely visit again.

Not the best pub or meal I've ever had. Tables very sticky, no pepper. Mashed potato wasn't fresh, gravy like glue, pie had more pastry than filling, if that's the kind of meal you like, visit the Southern cross.
