The Blue Bell Lodge Restaurant in Middlesbrough

Used to live in m'bro, still have a lot of family here so have always used bluebell to stay while here, usually clean friendly and comfy, this time however, found the hotel room quite dirty, with stains on furniture and questionable cleanliness in the bathroom, we paid for breakfast each day of our 4 day stay, but were told on Monday morning, there is no chef, the manager on duty on Monday morning couldn't bring himself to say good morning to us never mind tuck his shirt in or smile, so sad that such a lovely place is being allowed to go to seed.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Booked a party. Absolutely no flexibility, no help with arrangements, couldn't even get a reply on adding extras to the buffet. The only good thing about them is they cancelled the booking without a hitch

There was 9 of us there today for Sunday dinner. It was really nice and the service was good. It was our first time and would definitely return again.

My husband a friend & my self have just been for Sunday lunch at the blue bell, £8.99 cavery, absolutely gorgeous, meat lovely, good choice of veg all fresh, worth every penny, we will definitely be going back there.

Great place to meet for a pint after work (especially on a friday) to get into the mood for the weekend. Food isn't bad either with a good choice for a fair price

Decided to have an overnight stay here on our way up north. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Decent priced drinks. Connor who helped check us in and then was on the bar was welcoming and able to answer our questions about the local area. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the chef couldn’t have been more helpful. Definitely a lovely place for a night away.

Had a very good meal here yesterday . The offer with a free drink was very good value as were the children's meals which were good quality and excellent value. Was quite busy but fortunately we had booked a table . Good friendly waitress. Paid to park in large carpark but money was refunded on first order.

We visited in between appointments for lunch as we understood they had vegan food on the menu. As it was Monday and not too busy the chef came out to clarify what was vegan and what was vegi and she was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed lovely vegan pie. Then noticed if we had have had a more expensive drink we could have saved £4 as it would have classed as a meal deal. When I pointed this out at the bar, it was apparently tough luck that I hadn't spotted this. I know saving have been pointed out at other establishments, I'm less likely to go back when it is not.

Decent and clean accommodation at the budget end of the market. Very good value breakfast offer which is cooked fresh for you. Staff are considerate, friendly and helpful. The pub can be busy but,after hours, the area is surprisingly quiet. A good option to consider in this area.

Great food, great beer what more could you ask for, and the manager is absolute top bloke really helpful. Keep up the good work Bluebell. Will definitely return with the family 👍👍👍🍺🍺
