The vegetables were nice and decent selection of food for vegans veggies and omnivores. Service was pretty slow and we kept having to hassle the staff to take orders/bring the bill. Good prices, but not nice having to wait in the carvery queue while waiting for vegan meal as you are stuck looking at the meat. It's nice inside and everything was clean and nicely decorated. Good music and atmosphere

The food was lovely, the girl that served us was lovely. It gets 3* because of the two women who stood around talking doing not a great deal else and the delivery driver who parked over 2 disabled spaces rather than in the empty parking space he eventually parked in after u went back inside and asked him to move his car so I could get out

Staff very good, always very helpful,it does happen to get quite warm in there sometimes ,nice meal, now and again veg a little hard , and maybe they could put a little more meat on the plate especially if you are not having all meats, I talk about the meats as a couple of my friends husbands find the meat isn't enough,I go quite often and I enjoy my meal and as I said the staff are excellent.

Always enjoy Toby, the only thing is sometimes when you opt for one meat (if it's lamb) you don't get a lot! A little bit more would be appreciated. Also sometimes the veg etc is not that hot, but that said we always enjoy. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Amazing food and amazing service. The server was so chatty and smiley and happy. All you had to do if you had an issue was speak to your server and she sorted it out for me. Very good value and would recommend this to anyone

We've eaten here several times and enjoyed our meals. Today, however, we ordered a delivery. The cauliflower was barely cooked, yorkshire puds were small and burnt around the tops, and each of us received two very small pieces of meat. Two of the cartons of gravy had loose tops which had leaked in the bag which then dripped onto my carpet. Very disappointing.on Very disappointing.

We booked a room at the neighbouring Premier Inn because we could get a Roast at the Marton Toby. We missed Christmas Dinner due to food poisoning, so we were both looking forward to a meal. We had travelled most of the day from the South West for an appointment the following day. After 8 hours of travelling we just wanted to sit down and relax with a few drinks and have our meal closer to 21.00. The website showed that this was fine as served carvery up to this time. We arrived at just before 19.00 and told that the food finished at 19.00 and if we wanted something we would need to get it and eat it straight away. We were told that due to Covid and the lack of staff food would need to finish early. We asked is we could get a takeaway and keep it warm for later, but this was not possible either. We asked the manager why the website still showed that food was served every day up to 21.00 and he stated that it was the fault of the area manager, who had been asked numerous times to change the times as other clients had complained, but he would not do it due to 'global policy. As an employer, I completely understand the pressures this epidemic has caused businesses across the UK and further afield. What is difficult to accept is the food had been prepared for the earlier service and the 'carvers' were still present and full vegetable dishes and meat joints were displayed past 19.45. Surely, if the staff shortages were so severe, it would have had the biggest impact earlier in the serving, when there was a fairly busy restaurant. To have kept this food available for another 60 min, would have been minimal disruption and would not have added any further pressure to the staff shortages. As a customer it really, really feels like you are being 'fobbed off' with as many excuses as possible. Lost a happy customer here Toby Inn's. I gave 2 stars, as 1 stars are ignored and in the hope that someone will read and look into our feedback.

Lovely carvery dinners, just wish i could have eaten more but my stomach has shrank recently! The festive super pig is nice to share with the roast but i am still dying to try it in a sandwich! 🎅 🐽 🥪

Went for Sunday lunch after my disabled wife had left hospital the day before. The meal was good and the waitress service exceptional. She eased our way through the carvery queue and carried my wife's plate to her seat too.Only negative.....being addressed as "bud" instead of "sir" at reception point is NOT what I expect as a professional business greeting.
