Turtle Bay in Middlesbrough

Food was really great, could do with a few more vegan options but what is on the menu is really tasty! Some staff are great, others were really not bothered about customer service or speed.

Had Maisie serving us and she was absolutely incredible, never felt more welcome. The food was lovely and had such a great time. Staff were incredibly respectful and sweet making sure we enjoyed every part of the meal. I’ll definitely be returningagain!

The best.Recommend their Jamaican Wake Up, Coconut Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri. 😍Definitely recommend and will go again.

The last time I was here was during university when it was walkabout! The new restaurant however is even nicer, the staff are incredibly friendly and personable and the atmosphere is fantastic also. I found the food to be very nice but my wife said even the macaroni was spicy so maybe one more for the heat lovers! Only criticism I had was the chicken skin was more or less blackened to the point of becoming tough, the meat was very nice but the skin was not. But maybe that's more a reflection on the caribbean style? Overall very nice experience would definitely return.

A vegan extravaganza.Turtle Bay hasn’t had a review by vegans that I can tell and the food blew two vegans away, so here’s 5 well deserved stars.There’s more than enough choice when it comes to choosing options from the vegan menu. It’s a Caribbean joint so embrace the sweetness of some dishes and spice of others, all washed down with amazing drinks. Going out on the town - try the bottomless brunch.The Vegan Island Buddha Bowl hit every conceivable taste on my buds last time I visited, and The Vegan Organic Tofu Buddha Bowl this time was equally as amazing. I’d go back just for that. But if wanna mix it up, get a Vegan Yardbird (and share with your partner) it was amazing. The plantain was sweet, sticky and a hot gorgeous complement to the bowl. A portion of Caribbean dumplings made sure the plates were clean enough to put back on the shelf. Having washed it down with fiery ginger beer, My only regret was not having enough space for pudding - what a shame.I think I’ll need to return 5 times to complete the menu and if this visit was anything to go by, I’m in for a real treat.

Came here for bottomless brunch on New Years Eve, fantastic food and drink. Staff were lovely and attentive.

The food was slow to arrive, and portions were small for the price.All in all, first visit to a turtle Bay, and I'd say on this occasion I felt it was overpriced, especially for soft drinks.

This place is just divine. Visiting Middlesborough for the weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this party heaven with such splendid and heavenly food. The crowd is super friendly with great music and chats. We ordered a lot of food, the plantain is super, the magical curries have some secret sauce in them and truly fall in the category of foodgasm. They’ve infused tropocal vibes into mocktails too.
