Babucho in Newcastle upon Tyne

We were booked for 5:30pm on a Sunday. We had been served, we had eaten and we had been given our bill all within 40 minutes of our arrival. Very rushed and stressful experience. Good quality but very small portion size for the price. Dining out should be enjoyable, I have borderline ptsd from this experience.

Loved our visit here, I had calamari to start with a lovely lemon dip it was very tasty, followed by duck in a red sticky sauce with potatoes absolutely delicious.. dessert was chocolates with ginger base beautiful.. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Would of given 5 stars but for the fact it was an extra £9.00 for 2 portions of carrots and green beans which should of accompanied the meal in my opinion.Lovely place for a special occasion as it is pricey..

Excellent customer service ! I messed up the booking but they kindly found us a table. Friendly staff and a first class roast . Nice cosy atmosphere too

First visit to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Good service and good atmosphere even though the place is huge. Only downside was the steak for the birthday girl was poor and although replaced without hesitation the replacement was still not as good as it could have been. Despite this the staff were efficient and friendly and there is every chance we will return.

Excellent service, great value for money, very well thought out menu structure. Good quality food & attention to detail. Clearly a chefs care environment in the kitchen.There is something for everyone & every budget while offering fine dining style of service within a fun / atmospheric environment without being pretentious!The creative mind behind the vision has embarked on a journey through to fruition over the past 10 years, creating a visually pleasing look which welcomes you in as you walk through the door with a warm personality in reflection.I frequent Newcastle & will definitely be returning on every visit to experience other areas of the venue which I envision offer a different vibe.

The waiter we had was the loveliest, Edison was honestly the highlight of our night. We for sure weren't disappointed... he is unfortunately leaving in a week to start another job but we will never forget the night we had served by him. The food was perfect - and I don't use that word lightly.The cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere itself was just fantastic. 10/10 will definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I went for our 1 year anniversary and were not disappointed AT ALL. Food was outstanding food, really helpful and friendly staff, cosy and intimate atmosphere and the music was not too loud. The food portions were surprisingly reasonable and well priced. Highly recommend for anniversaries, date nights, valentine's Day, and other special occasions. Will definitely be back x

In my opinion this is the most wonderful restaurant in toon. Alex was our waiter, years of experience and always on hand for recommendations. Their three course offering is such a bargain and the £5 cocktails taste amazing too!Ideal for date night, family or friend meals and drinks. Beautiful interior and quality food!

Service is excellent very friendly staff who interact with you and offer kids entertainment such a colouring materials. Setting is beautiful and perfect for family meals. It is a great place in the heart of the city centre. nearby is the quayside so after eating you can go for a little walk. We went around 5ish and the service was speedy I do think the food has been better previously but a good point is the chicken is also halal. The sticky toffee is one of the best I have tried.

Excellent from the beginning to end!!!Properly restaurant based on good service and quality food.Many places here in Newcastle are focused to sell alcoholic beverages and the quality of the food is poor and the hygiene ⬇️,luckily we found this restaurant in central town clean and well maintained.We been served by Alex and Matteo,care in details and professional service.Thank you
