Banyan Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne

Went on Sunday 26th June for a couple of drinks. Then came back after reading the menu for Lunch.Staff were excellent. Quickly shown our seats by the girl at front of house.Waitress came over quickly and got our drinks order. Then gave us 5 mins to look at the menu.My wife had the Greenhouse Burger. I had the Korean Fried Chicken Burger. Both were excellent. Wife mentioned of all the plant based burgers she's had this one was the best.Beating the Snowy Owl in Cramlington.

Great! Didnt know you needed to have reserved seats but was able to find a space anyway until the tables reservation was due. Decent Buy one get one free on cocktailsThink the only downside to it was you have to get two of the same cocktails for it to apply

Not at all impressed. Below average food at extortionate prices. The waitress was friendly and service was fairly quick but to get to the restaurant upstairs you had to dodge the Geordie shore wannabe’s downstairs in the bar and it’s not my sort of place. Also you have to enter via a cloud of smoke as the mob stand at the entrance then have to put up with the less than friendly greeter upon arrival. Doubt I’ll be back

Another great time Banyan. Excellent location with a great choice of drinks wines spirits cocktails and largers not sure about real ales. Staff are great too.

Called in for a bite to eat and a few drinks on a Saturday afternoon. I was very happy with my meal and the cocktails. The meal portions were good value and the cocktails were great. The staff were very friendly and polite and there was a nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back and worth a visit.

Visited with a friend after making a booking a few days earlier. It has a variety of cuisines on the menu so it’s a good place to visit if you aren’t sure what you’re craving.I went for a Thai curry and my friend had schnitzel, she was happy with her dish but mine did not taste authentic. The cocktails were nice we ordered quite a few to make the most of happy hour.Unfortunately this restaurant has lost a star due to having to go looking for the waiter to pay our bill. Be careful if seated on the balcony in the corner, there no easy way to make eye contact with anyone if you need the waiter.

Didn’t try much of the food but cocktails were good; sitting outside is lovely especially when there’s sun and the service outside is through ordering from your phone which is quite a convenient way to avoid not getting served. Seemed nice, will probably be going back to try their mains

I visited Banyan for lunch recently, I had the Chicken Spirali. It was absolutely delicious. I also tried the Fruit Bomb mocktail which was beautiful. Really lovely atmosphere, trendy modern interior and friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend and would visit again as I'd love to sample the cocktails but unfortunately I was driving so it wasn't an option this time.

Starter was lovely but main average. Was meant to have salsa on but was just the smallest bit of tomato. Quite dry and a bit tasteless. The cocktails were amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Not sure I would go again for food as it doesn't identify itself as something specific food wise. I would go again for drinks !

Went for brunch for daughters18th. Slight disappointed that no staff mentioned her birthday, but never mind. Decor nice. Very noisy as large group of lads in. Immediately told what food they didn't have, I always find that rather odd. Tea options were very poor. No green tea, or decaff tea, although offered on menu. Food was good on the whole. Not a huge selection though pancakes cold however. Felt as though it could have been slightly better experience than I anticipated.
