Some of the words I’ve read on here do not reflect my experiences of this great pub. People are not easily fooled and can easily tell the difference between a genuine review with real information and a brief, bitter or bland comment by someone with an axe to grind. The truth is, every establishment is prone to the odd hiccup for a variety of reasons beyond the control of management.I’m a discerning person, and this is absolutely my favourite local. The food is proper pub grub, the servers, efficient, happy and always polite. The food and drinks menu is extensive and seasonal to a satisfactory standard representing generally good value for money - especially with different deals on different days - it’s always worth checking them out online.We’re really fortunate to have this pub just a few minutes’ walk away from home. I love the place and will continue to visit.Recommended without reservation.

Lovely pub had some food with my friend service great food great (and filling the lasagne looked great btw) will almost certainly be back if I have the time after work or uni I'll probably try the tacos next time they do intrigue me.

Came in for food last week with a colleague really enjoyed it exactly what you need from a pub burger out promptly and a decent pint if I'm ever local again I know where to go

Came in for food yesterday staff where most friendly and very polite showed how to use the app when food came was very well presented and tasted lovely will definitely be returning in future was nice to be able to meet and say thank you to chef Sarah and chef Alex for the lovely food that got provided x

Love this place an old favourite from back in the day, I came in last week for food as a staff member from the another bar I pop into had came here to work tell him Kim says hi.In regards to the food the burgers are nice and well presented my hubby had gammon and said it was delicious.it's more spacious than I remember but that's a good thing the staff are really friendly and the place was clean and well lresented.We will be back in the near future.

Ordered senior size portions 6.99 for 2 courses. 2 scrappy bits of fish and 9 chips and a few peas. I know obviously it's meant to be a smaller portion but that was ridiculous. Crumble and custard ok. Won't be back its shame as its handy but just not good. Staff pleasant though.

Food was awful, fish was a soggy wet slop of mush. Wife had a hair in her food and they put the cheapest food through on the offer and left the most expensive on its own. Apparently nothing they can do it’s the machines fault they said. Customer service was terrible. Won’t go back that’s for sure.

We went 13/12/2021 . Xmas meal about 17 of us . Friendly staff, but Xmas Dinner horrible, turkey did not even look like turkey, was brown and salty , stringy too . Roast potatoes were frozen ones . Worst Xmas Dinner we have had . About 7 of us had it and no one enjoyed meal . Other meals on Xmas menu were not nice too ie steak, mushroom pie thing, festive pie no taste . Pudding was best part of meal .Sorry too say meals gone down hill as ive had lots of meals there over the years. Found manager not very approachable sat on computer whole time we were there . Lady not sure if she manageress she was lovely. Even tasted turkey and agreed it was salty. I think we should have been refunded as they knew meals were not nice as I told them . Sorry folks about bad review but 17 people cannot be wrong .

Nice pub ..nice atmosphere...£7 quid for a Stella and pint of diet coke . So not cheap.

As to be expected. Its a pub that feels like a pub. Serves drinks and food to a good enough quality for a pub. Service is great, can either order at the bar or via app straight to table. Plenty of space inside and out to sit. Atmosphere is good and prices are reasonable.
