Brandling Villa in Newcastle upon Tyne

Very decent pub. Went there with some colleagues for lunch as it was my first time in Newcastle. Was pleasantly surprised by the service - it was quick, efficient and friendly. I had the bratwurst which was delicious. Atmosphere was very good and the place seemed to have good cleaning standards. Would definitely recommend. Of course tap is available as well.

DISGUSTING. if you want to eat your meal or try and enjoy a pint DONT bother. I’m sat here now with an overwhelming smell of wet mutt being watched by every dog and it’s owner in Newcastle. If the smell of wet is your thing whist eating this is the place for you!! The smell of wet dog is so overwhelming that it interferes with the taste of the food. Never again!!! And to top it of the burger was dry and tasteless thanks brandling villa for ruining my date night.

Great place, been here a few times over the years and it's always a really nice atmosphere. Stopped in today for lunch with my partner and teenage daughter and the pooches. I had a burger, other half had dirty fries and my daughter had the chicken burger. Everything we had was fantastic, my daughter said her chicken burger was "banging", which I think is teenage for "proper tasty like".

Great location, very nice old pub feel whilst being quite a modern enough to attract a younger crowd. They brew some of their own ales onside and the food looks really good. Only negative is they don't take cash so you have to pay on card.

Has definitely went down hill...We went for the two for Tuesday's, which we've been many times and enjoyed before.Unfortunately, this time the chips were so salty to the point where they were almost inedible, and the burger was overdone and rushed as food came out within 5 mins so most likely not cooked to order, (not sure how as we we're one of few people there!)Used to prefer here to the punchbowl but I'm doubtful I'll be back for a while.Shame..

Such a great pub. Loads of cask lines full of quality beers. Friendly staff, food looks great. We'll done lads.9/10 shall return

1st time we have been back in about 8years. It is much nicer and cleaner (No longer smells funky). Staff were great and friendly. Food was lovely, had burgers. They have a brilliant selection of draft beers and lagers. You can take your dog.

Such a good environment and your dog can have food aswell, also the food for humans is really good deffo take a trip if you want to have a good evening for food and drink

One of our favourite pubs in the Newcastle area. Atmosphere is great with good music selection (we are 18, 28 and 30 year olds), varied crowd of people, and dogs allowed! Live music here is often great. Big TV for watching the games on.The food is what does it for us though, with high quality ingredients and delicious offerings. Portion sizes are large and food is usually cooked to perfection - we love the chips and burgers. You pay a bit more than at other pubs but it's worth it.
