My first visit absolutely fab food delightful and the coffee very moreish well worth a visit 👍

Coffee was good but the scones were very poor. I had, which was supposedly, a fruit scone. It was dry and had one piece of fruit in the bottom half. Looked like the same amount in the top but did not eat it as it was just too dry and lacking in content of which it was supposed to be. My companion had a cheese scone and it was dry, only had cheese grated on the top, not running through the scone and left half of hers too. The decor of the cafe is quirky.

This busy little gem is a must. Had the eggs Benedict for brunch, it was perfect and so filling it saw me through the whole day. Will definitely go back when I'm up north again

Every time I visit Jesmond I go for brunch, if I can get a table. We love this place, the food is fantastic. My nephew says it has the best Vegetarian breakfast ever. Casual, laid back and a great atmosphere. Exceptional value for money.

Always a real treat to visit. Food is gorgeous, with a fantastic range of vegetarian and vegan options. The decor is great and the staff are so lovely. Cannot fault it at all, love everything about it!

Really good. Only 2 minor downsides, was quite cold and my eggs were very slightly over but excellent brunch

The place is so nice and cozy, we had oat milk mochas and the fudge which was SO good, but would definitely recommend sharing!! Coffee was great, and the staff is very friendly :)

We visited Caffe 1901 Bistro for breakfast on a couple of mornings whilst staying in Jesmond recently and were thoroughly impressed on both occasions. There is a good variety of dishes from Full English, (which was one of the finest I've had), to granola bowls and sandwiches. The toast was thick cut and served with plenty of butter and jam and the portion sizes are sufficient for all but those who indulge in extreme eating competitions!! Consequently, although you will probably be able to find cheaper alternatives for breakfast, in my opinion Caffe 1901 offers great value for money.Although we didn't sample anything other than breakfast items we saw other dishes delivered to a number of other tables, including burgers and baked potatoes, and all looked fantastic. It is also worth noting that the menu includes plenty of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan choices and a wonderful array of cakes, which I didn't have the opportunity, (or stomach space!), to sample. The staff were friendly and helpful, the environment is light and airy and the decor is quirky and interesting.Overall a fabulous little place to eat, just off the main road through Jesmond and one that I'd heartily recommend and will visit again on my next trip to the area.

Food is astonishing, beautiful and tasty, smoothies and milkshake are really good. The decoration is cozy. You don't need to book in advance and they are dog friendly!
