Went above expectations. You have an idea what to anticipate when going for fine dining, but this was something else. A comprehensive array of perfection. Tasting menu with accompanying wine flight truly boasts what Newcastle has to offer. Will absolutely be back

Overall the presentation, food quality and service are good or indeed very good. However since the introduction of the fixed price lunch menu the tendency to hustle guests to their table rather than to be able to relax with apertif(s) in the bar area is not welcome.

21 restaurant is fantastic, food is amazing, service also fantastic, can't fault it. Totally recommend for that special occasion.

Went here with my husband on a Saturday night . Tables are nicely distanced so we felt comfortable. We had already looked at the menu and thought it was varied and not over priced . We had a starter and a main course , both very good . A bottle of red wine at 26 pounds was also very nice . Couldn’t fault anything about the place , service was attentive without being over the top . Nicely decorated and nice rest rooms , all makes for a great night out . We will definitely go again when we are back in the North East visiting home .

We had the ‘Autumn in the city’ 5 course tasting menu which was excellent. The flavours of each dish were very well executed and the portion were just right. We expected an apple crumble dessert but was advised that the kitchen was not happy to serve it as the quality of the apples wasn’t to standard, therefore we were provided with their baked Alaska dessert instead which was outstanding.Lovely experience and would definitely visit again next time we are in town.

For my starter had the natural oysters while my wife had the tempora oysters with mayonnaise. For mains I had the rib-eye steak cooked rare while my wife had the lamb. Finally I had the Stichelton cheese while my wife had the chocolate soufflé. Overall the level of service and food was excellent.

Good service, nice food (some of the steak was a little chewy while other parts where delicious) and good wine/drinks menu.Staff were attentive but not in your face, while there is always someone on the floor if you have a request. Is pricy but makes no apologies for it, a good place for a special occasion.Desert was my favourite part.

A very upmarket restaurant, classic English/French type cuisine fine dining. The food and cooking is along masterchef levels and is great. Portions are balanced for courses. Extensive drinks. The prices are very expensive as the consequence, we came out for a large group meal, and it came to £60 per person 3 courses, with drinks.
