Cheese Loft Cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne

Absolutely brilliant cafe. Food delicious and staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my wife is in a wheelchair so we can't go upstairs, but this is no problem as to visit this cafe regulary is well worth it.

Delicious cheese soup, and toasted sandwich was amazing. Cozy interior decorations, and friendly service. Good stop for a bite and some tea or coffee.

Just come across this little gem after driving in the area hundreds of times. Yummy homemade scones. Cheese, and fruit scones delicious. Menu comprehensive and reasonable prices. Staff all very friendly We sat outside in the sunshine with our little Cairn terrier. A lovely experience. We’ll be back

Visited here at 3.00pm as website and signs says open until 4 but when I arrived I was told the kitchen closes at 3 (it was 3.03 at this time). A bit disappointed as it’s quite a drive and I was looking forward to a nice lunch here.

Gorgeous! Loved the overall feel here. Staff were lovely, very nice place. I can highly recommend the quiche. The salad etc with it was a little different and delicious. Good kids meal options although my little fussy eaters weren't keen on the cheese in their toasties 🙈Go if you get the chance. Great cake selection too!

I was looking forward to taking my friend here for a nice lunch, one particular staff member had a right attitude a little old woman she must have been absent the day the customer service course was on. Please retrain her. After spilling a hot cup of coffee all over our table and scalding my friends legs she said we don't make coffee hot because customers were complaining it was too hot so you'll be ok. Then had the nerve to say I had done nothing but complain since I sat down. Not true I ordered coffees and crumpets the coffees came but no crumpets, I asked where are the crumpets.They were served after our main food, what a shambles so unprofessional definitely going to give this place a miss just because of the bad service from the little old woman. This is no reflection on the other staff members they were fine.

Seen the sign for this place while passing so popped in for a look, Sophie came over to offer us samples of cheese and crackers and to explain the differences, she was extremely patient with us while we zig zagged between the cheese counter and other products so much so we left with a bag of goodies, I’ll be taking friends to explore next time, lovely cafe/shop but it was definitely Sophie’s friendliness that made popping in nice

Wow, If you love cheese and haven't been here your missing out. Amazing cheeses 🧀 at reasonable prices, really good variety and loads to choose from. There is a café upstairs, which I would highly recommend you try especially if your already there. Have been visiting the Northumberland Cheese Company around December for quite a few years. Fabulous range of cheeses produced from local cows, sheep and goat milk. Over the years I've pretty much tried and loved them all. A great present for friends and family that love cheese but can't easily access top quality produce.Besides the cheese, there are lots of other good food items to tempt you in the shop mmmmm.In the shop the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable on the cheeses.If you like top quality cheese at a very reasonable price 😍

Even the journey to the Northumberland Cheese Company, along single lane roads and bridge over the river Blyth is quaint.To start with we ate at the care and really enjoyed the cheese on toast. The cafe has a warm, family feel with very friendly staff. The shop adjoining the cafe has a wide variety of cheeses and other local produce on sale. The staff let us taste each cheese before buying and had some good advice about what cheeses we might like - something for everyone.
