Absolutely hands down the worst place to eat even the salad was off mashed potatoes powdered then reheated veg overcooked. He ate it but complained the whole way through. My veggie burger fries and salad largely went back to the kitchen... what didn't went down the loo shortly after getting home... definitely never eating here againVegetarian options: Don't go... simply put choices poor and tastes like poo

Clean place. We ordered earl grey tea and the lady in reception didn't know what earl grey tea is !! and we also ordered latte and it was completely undrinkable. It has a very strange taste. I wish the staff to taste it to see how it tastes.

Food is top draw, excellent wine options. Service is the pinnacle, so polite and professional youd think you were in a high end restaurant, not a warm, cosy neighbourhood bar. Favourite pub in Newcastle

Fantastic service. Home cooked good quality food with a real pub feel. A million miles away from a plastic chain pub with kitchens with a 1000 microwave ovens.

Love this pub, just had new bar fitted, very friendly staff and owner.

Ordered from World Of Wings which I think is in the Cosy Dove? Fantastic wings and fries, plenty of flavour and real meaty wings. I had the Korean BBQ wings which is highly recommend. I ordered via Uber Eats and the food arrived in 30 minutes which you cannot fault. Wouldn’t think twice about orders ring from here again.

Love the steak and chips here, the sirloin is delicious and very good quality and a great big size. They have a deal on Thursdays 2 steak & chips for ÂŁ20, and it is worth every penny. Absolutely delicious and well made, great chef. The servers/waitresses are so sweet and kind, really amazing service. I usually get the the homemade sticky toffee pudding, it is truly delicious and a delicacy. Great atmosphere, great service, great food and great prices.

Nice pub and nice British food. I've been there twice and I would recommend to go there any day except Sunday, because the Sunday's menu has less variety. But food is good, specially the fish and chips and the stews.

It's a fantastic place just outside the hustle and bustle of city centre but each time I go I order food. It was light snacks and sandwich yesterday. I like the fact eating area and drinks are separated although you can still stop and order drinks after you've eaten so it's very relaxed. I think it's a hidden gem and gin bar is amazing.
