The food was nice and the menu interesting with plenty of options. The waiting staff could really do with being more polite / friendlier though

The service here was outstanding! They managed to fit us in as a walk in on restaurant week despite the place being fully booked. We tried the chef's surprise and everyone enjoyed trying lots of different dishes. The starter was cooked perfectly, the meat melted in your mouth, even the lamb which is often chewy. It was also really good value for money, we were surprised at the bill when we came to pay. Absolutely loved it, we will be returning!

Avg taste from the perspective of an Indian Ordered dum biryani , dosa and bbq. All are served very less in quantity. I fear it won't be sufficient even for one indian person. But good taste and very nice ambience.

Genuine Indian food full of flavours from India. Not like one of those cheap Indian restaurants existing just for the namesake

Best Indian in the city.I do love coming to Dabbawal. Have been here own the of times and not once have I been disappointed. If you’re after reliable service, great food and drink - this is your place.Honestly, doesn’t compare to any other competitors out there (such as Khai Khai).Been here for my birthday, in a party of 4, on dates and with friends. Each and every time, everything was impeccable.

Lovely restaurant. Just right level of attention from staff. 3 of us had thali, plus poppadom starters and a large bottle of Cobra each. Meal came in at 20 quid a head including tip.

We turned up here on a Saturday night having been turned away from everywhere else for not having a booking. They said they could sit us at the bar, which we gladly accepted.I ordered a bombay lemonade and several small plates for us to share. The food was outstanding. Every single dish was individual, flavoursome and just plain delicious. We will definitely be returning to try some more of the menu.Service was outstanding. Such lovely staff. Just couldn't fault it.

Gem of a place off the beaten track in the city centre. Excellent customer service. Plenty of dishes and options to choose from. Definitely recommend the Thalis balanced meal, more than enough for a full lunch. The mango lassi was thoroughly refreshing.
