Dene's Deli in Newcastle upon Tyne

Dene's Deli is my first choice for sandwiches. I was introduced to their sandwiches well over 20 years ago and its one of the things I look forward to on a Friday lunchtime each week.If I'm working from home, the family know they're in for a treat as they know I'll still make a sandwich run on a Friday. (A benefit to them as we continued to work from home as lockdown eased last year ;))Fantastic menu, so much variety and always freshly made. I order ahead and collect and always greeted by their friendly staff.

Ordered via telephone for collection, very extensive menu with some great vegan options and superb selection of breads, wraps and hot or cold choices! Will return for sure next time in the area.

After reading reviews was looking forward tobreakfast sandwich only to be totally disappointed. We got 2 sausage and bacon rolls although it contained 2 sausages and 2 slices of bacon they were hardly warm and my husband said they were microwaved. He asked for sauce and they were swimming it never ever had as much sauce on anything. Will avoid from now

Best sandwiches I have ever come across. Great value and friendly service. Ingredients are fresh, crazy selection and the sarnies are weighty and powerful. Absolutely amazing coronation chicken salad.. can't believe I've just wrote that about a salad, however give it a try and ask them to cut it up for you too, best I've ever had.You might pay a bit more here, but it's worth it and if you compare it to subway prices, Subway are bland and people still pay it... the food at this place definitely isn't.

Delicious, healthy food. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is for hygiene reasons as a member of staff answered the phone while they were making a sandwich.

Fantastic.I have a peanut allergy, so I went in today and had a chat with them. They were incredibly helpful. They told me they couldn't guarantee that the panini toaster was free from peanuts, but suggested a safer alternative which was still really enjoyable! Also a very good coffee too.Really appreciate the extra effort they went through to try and find something for me. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area!

Best sandwich shop I have been to, a real gem in the Jesmond crown! A wide selection of choices, the ingredients are carefully selected to be of the best quality. The staff are fantastic and always happy to help. Highly recommend

Absolutely (pastrami) ham packed sarnie! Handsome & an absolute delight start to finish. Couldn't pass on an 11/10 caramelised onion and sausage roll chaser either. Bit grisly for my liking but easily overlooked cos it tasted lush. Quick serving, friendly staff were the cherry on the cake. Glad I stumbled across this place.

One of the best sandwich shops in the north east. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients. The Kamikaze chicken is a classic that will echo through sandwich history.
