First time 1 star review... From start to finish a poor experience. Food was barely warm. Service was just a bit better than the food. For a works night out it pretty much set the tone for people to leave to go home straight after paying the bill.Very sorry to give this review but it is needed.

We bought a WOWCHER deal and thought we would give Fat Buddha a try. We weren't the only one's, according to WOWCHER about 1,000 of the deals had been sold. Something like £60 for 4 people for a 2 course meal and a cocktail each. Looking at the menu prices and the special deals, like happy hour etc, it wasn't a particularly brilliant deal. The atmosphere inside is good. Good lively and modern music with young ish staff made for a modern vibe. The cocktails were truly poor. Worst we've ever had, more like squash drinks really. The food wasn't bad and neither was it anything to write home about. We don't think we will be going back. We think it's a 'typical' franchise offering.

Ate it because I was hungry. The waitress was lovely and took money off the bill because she asked if we enjoyed it and told we told her the truth. Didn't like that they clear your table of dishes when your still eating. Won't be going back.

I don't give out many 1 star reviews but this was just poor from start to finish. From the hostess ignoring us as we waited over 10 minutes to order drinks, to the main courses coming one hour after the starters. We were offered free drink after free drink to compensate the poor food and wait. I couldn't eat the Ramen as the beef was chewy and the broth tasted of old kitchen oil. The gents toilets were flooded and the staff seemed more interested in talking about their night out. Shocking. Do not waste your time or money.

Have read the mixed bunch of reviews before writing this. I know no two nights are the same anywhere you go and can only speak as you find it. Tonight there was more than enough staff on and they were all excellent, the food we chose was very good but we we unable to eat it all as there was to much, should have perhaps just had a main course. Delivery of the food was perhaps to fast for us which made it feel similar to a fast food joint as opposed to a fine dining experience. Will go back again as we thoroughly enjoyed it. Can recommend.

Visited the fat Buddha last night with friends and it was shocking! Ate here alot in the past and food and cocktails were always fab with good service. Cocktails were very basic, starters were OK, waited an hour for mains to be brought out cold food, out of 4 mains 2 were sent straight back, curry was like water, duck wasn't cooked properly,, chips were like oven chips, noodles were like microwave noodles! Really bad! Would never eat here again, apparently there were alot of complaints our waiter informed us and we did get the mains took off the bill. Interior is nice but that's about it!

Lovely venue. Nice food, would highly recommend the tempura king prawns starter! Our meal was late to arrive, but credit to the waitress, she offered us a free round of drinks without us even asking. We chose cocktails . Overall, a positive first visit.

Food was okay. Service was slow. Starter portions were disappointing (with way too much sauce) and main portions were overwhelming. They were very cheeky putting an "optional 10% gratuity" already on our bill; they didn't deserve it. The low price is inciting but it reflects the quality of what you get. We won't be returning.

Worst food I can remember having for years. Just Awful, the staff were nice enough, but just seemed clueless and the food was not fresh, the presentation was awful. Never had Duck pancakes like that it was an awful tasting mush, the best part was the spring onions and cucumber!!!!!! The beef Randang was the worst I’d ever tasted, I really don’t think any of the food is cooked freshly. It must be shipped in or they’ve got the worst chef’s in England. I’ll not even bother mentioning the rubbish cocktails. Never will I or my family return.

Went here last night and have been before many times and always enjoyed the food but was extremely disappointed this time round. There was another table having a work party but one man kept standing up doing loud speeches, swearing, and couldn't enjoy my food because of how loud they were. At one point I was even talked about out loud as he said some people want us to be quiet! When I spoke to the manager we said can we just box the food up and take it home but we just ended up binning it as the night was ruined. When complaining to the manager all she could offer is 10% off the bill which really we should have had it at least half price due to the rude people on the other table. I also feel when booking a table we should have been warned that we would be treat this way and then we wouldn't have bothered. Great food but terrible night.
