I love this bar. It's been one of my favourite bars in town for years. The staff are awesome and the food and drinks are always so good 😁

Food was quickly delivered to table, hot and filling. Cleanliness of pub and toilets left alot to be desired. Food on the floor that had been there awhile. Sanitary bins overflowing and toilet paper strewn on floor

Always have a good time here. Came in today and Cameron was fantastic. Really friendly and chatty and was really helpful when I struggled with a voucher code!! Favourite place for the family to meet up and food is lush too!

Had the so called fish platter. Sausage was hard and overcooked, peas were actually cold and the fish was grey and tasteless. Ended up paying £9.29 for chips...really?!? After already waiting nearly half hour Staff had my plate sitting under the lights a bit longer until it got sent out. Waste of money.

£8.99 for two courses including the carvery is well worth it, also add 3 pigs in blankets for £1 i was over the moon. Think we didn't go at best of times as veg seemed dry but like i say maybe because it was quiet when we were there and food had been left lying. Good choice of meats and starter was ok.

Excellent service great value meals staff very good I have food allergies and everything was explained to me and I was quite happy with the service from ALI staff member he put. him self out the way to make sure we were quite happy with our visit 😊

Bartender very snooty when I inquired about them doing Meerkat Meal Deals. Said no. Asked same question at podium to carvery seats and they actually do. Told to take a seat. Unfortunately the seats were shiny through wear and there was a fusty smell so left sharpish. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Not a pleasant experience.

Wanted a quick meal and expected just pub food but the portions and pizza was second to none. Fresh pizza oven and fresh made pizzas. Then it was 2 for 1 on a Monday

They didn't have most of the drinks available on the menu and the tables and bar were sticky... This was unfortunately on an afternoon during the day on a weekday and it wasn't very busy so there was time for the staff to clean. The bar itself is very welcoming and so were the staff so no faults there. Nicely decorated but could be cleaner especially when we are just coming out of a pandemic unfortunately. Hopefully my next visit will be different as i have enjoyed other visits here in the past

After a day visiting Newcastle we stopped here for tea after booking online.Some of the group ordered the carvery, that was ok except some of the veg looked like it had sat there all day and had gone dry but the meat was tasty as were the potatoes.Some of the group ordered off the main menu and these we nice and cooked fresh.The desserts were very nice.Apart from the dried out veg we had a nice meal and the staff were very good.
