When it was a buffet it was one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle, which made me extremely disappointed after it reopened and I had one of the worst dining experiences ever. It is incredibly overpriced. I had a very light lunch (wasn’t even half full) after spending about £20 per person even if I ordered noodles and meat. The vegetable wasn’t fresh at all, the portions were tiny. I have no idea what I was paying for - the mediocre service and environment, or the disappointing food? I would not recommend it to anyone unless you are both crazy rich and have a terrible taste. Would have given 0 stars if that was an option.

Good food and the girl who served us was really very polite and pleasant.. the prices were great and not too expensive… love the ambience of the place and it looked so good to be honest. I would go there again just to experience the ambience of the place again.lol. Totally should go there at-least once. Although even thought they say spicy, it’s not spicy at all. So you don’t need to worry about that. We ordered the fried rice and the chow Mein with the spicy Cantonese chicken. Really great flavours.

3.5I was really excited to try this place as I have been to happiness 1 many times (next to Percy Arms)It didn't hit the mark for me this time. Nice waitress, good interiors, but cold starter. I ordered char siu bao and 2 roasts with rice (duck and pork) as these are my favourite dishes at happiness 1.The char siu bao arrived with stone cold insides. There were 3 pieces for 4.70, and I returned the dish with 2, though in retrospect I should have left the cold filling for them to inspect. They returned the other 2 warmed up. I would have expected a replacement for the cold one. There wasn't as much filling as I'm used to either so this was a disappointment. The roast meats were good - pork was the best with good flavour and the duck had a nice crispy skin. Not a great sized portion for 12.60 though, some of my pieces were mostly bone and presentation could be better. They then charged me full price for the bao. I returned the bill saying its not right to charge full price for the buns when I ate one cold. They took it off the bill and I tipped the waitress for good service. The manager then came and stated that I'd ate the buns but they took the bao off this time?? Maybe I misunderstood her intentions, but I just replied they shouldn't have come out cold in the first placeWe go to restaurants to be looked after and we trust that the chefs have skill in heating food up? And keeping us safe, not giving us illnesses?A poor experience should be automatically fixed by management, an apology isn't enough. I would have been happy with a replacement of the first bao that was eaten cold but not even that. A free drink or dessert?Staff nice but they need to learn that when an error is made they need to regain the customers trust and good will with a show of good service. Sorry isn't enough.

It like this place and would love to try again. I am a bit theatrical and would like to see service presentation what they can offer with the soup broth.Very interesting that orders are done on tablet.Back to the food: - it was great to have soup in half and have two options. Chose one chilli Which I was advised very popular. I found too many chillies in, far too many. The other a chicken thia soup.Had sliced lamb and king prawns. Broccoli. However price OTT. Also choose Vermincelli noodles and egg-fried rice. Also great they were so good I ordered both again.Staff came and help advised and choose. With crabs and lobsters on show in the tank children will like.

I’ve picked dingleberry’s that have more taste and texture. Racist isn’t even the word …. We were offered the match day menu whilst everyone of an Asian persuasion got the hefty dumplings! £15 each …. For a bowl of yesterday’s chips, dodgy beef and onion rings that remind me of the titanic’s life saving equipment.DO NOT EAT HERE!

🌟 Authentic Chinese restaurant. A good place to go for Chinese hotpot, barbecue, or fried dishes. Have lots of choices of food for spicy hotpot — Amazing 😉Also serves various drinks: bubble milk tea, fruit tea, etc. Lots of flavors to choose from.🌟 Located at Newcastle China Town & near the city center.🌟 Friendly and helpful staff. No booking required.🌟 A spacious place with many seats.❔ A bit pricey if you want to try everything for hotpot 😅

Amazing food. The hotpot base is really authentic and there are so many choices! The dessert are all so wonderful I think I ate more of them than the hotpot~ unfortunately they donnt accept card so my friends has to walk 5 minutes to an ATM to get cash.
