We ordered a takeaway for delivery on our recent stay in the area. Delivered on time and the food was lovely - thank you very much!

Have been using the Komal for years, still coming back after the move to Heaton (even though its a bit further to travel, its worth it). Excellent food, polite and friendly. Personal favourite is the chicken lazeez!

Always get our takeaways from here. Food and service always excellent. Can't wait until we can eat in at the restaurant again.

I’ve been coming to the Komal for years, and have not had one bad meal there. The food is stunning, and the people in it are very warm and friendly.

Absolute disgrace. Ordered at 7.50, delivery confirmed for 9pm. At 9.30pm phoned and asked for update as was worried. Said would call back in 2 minutes. 15 mins later we had to call back to be told the driver had given our order to someone else and now the restaurant cannot fulfil our order. Won't order from you again if you cannot control your drivers and deliver to regular customers that supported you through all the lockdowns etc.

Lovely meal from the Komal last night. One item found to be missing from the delivery but the manager sorted this out and redelivered in minutes. Great food and service- Thanks Komal for keeping us safe at home while on lock down.

We went here on Saturday night. We asked for draft cobra and received bottle, which is more expensive. The place was freezing although the heating was on. Our meals arrived warm not hot and my husband meal arrived in a white bowl, 3 mins after mine and not on a hot plate. None of them were sizzling hot.Portions sizes were very small.Asked for the bill but waited that long, we had to get up for it in the end. Very disappointed as this cost £50 and don't have that kind of money to just waste.Will not be going again. Service very slow.

We have ate here twice as a group (7-9 of us) never been dissatisfied in any way. The food is always freshly prepared and really well presented. (Even the lad who likes it Fal hot give it 5/5) Cold beers as well, that’s just as important !!

Me and my family have been dining here for years and always find that the food and service is exceptional. One of the most authentic Indian curry houses in Newcastle, we know we can always rely on this place to offer consistently amazing food and the staff are really knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Great atmosphere too!

Friendly service, and authentic food. The biriyani was a highlight. Reasonable prices.
