Very well placed family ownedSicilian trattoria. Just next to the river Tyne before entering Newcastle city centre. Delicious sausage and fennel pizza , cold beer and lovely canoli and coffee. What more can a tired walker wish for? Good service despite being very busy.

This Italian cafe is a bit outside of the city centre but well worth the walk! We had a lovely family lunch with a river view. The salad portions are hearty and quite a few options to choose from. I really liked their fantasia salad. There’s also a shop selling Italian produce.

Nice coffee, but frustrating that you can't order a panini on a weekend. Only wanted a light easy lunch. Was some confusion as the girl who served us said we couldn't buy one of the pre made paninis. Turns out we could have when I asked the boss as I paid. Nice coffe though but more of an Italian restaurant than cafe.Update later on.....Thought my review was fair and offered constructive feedback. I then got a personal message on messenger you can see on the photos. Find this quite intimidating. Will leave the review for a week and then take it down as feel intimidated by the owner.

Had worked in the area for a number of years before stumbling upon this little hidden gem of a place. Whilst I only had a latte, well worth it, the selection on offer to eat and drink is as good as it looks. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. You can sit indoors (Covid spaced etc) or outside, given that it was rather inclement the day I went, we chose indoors. Overall, well worth a visit, just got to find it.

Lovely authentic Italian cafe and restaurant. The place is quite small but the quality of the food and the service are impeccable. They also offer a great selection of Italian products, including pasta, biscotti and other snacks.

An absolutely wonderful experience, that homely feeling of a southern Italian cafe restaurant with some seriously high quality food. Their signature 'Liosi Pizza' was, in fact, the nicest pizza I have ever had.We left feeling so happy at what a wonderful time we had just had. Thank you
