We had booked an event which was held at the purple peacock that got cancelled without notice or anything from the events company, but the purple peacock staff handled it very well and offered us bottomless brunch through them instead and really looked after us! Would reccomend

I booked in advance for my mams birthday but unfortunately was really let down by the service🙁 when we arrived there wasn’t a table ready for us as we didnt get put onto the list, so we were seated in the bar area we waited ages for food and drinks and were told that they were only serving small plates to make it easier on the kitchen we were disappointed as this was a special occasion The staff were polite though the problem might have been down to the restaurant being busy and staffing issues

Never been to such a bad restaurant from arriving till leaving the whole experience was nothing worse than appalling. On arriving at 7.50 for our 8 pm table we were told wasn’t ready, we went to bar to wait but couldn’t get served as it table service only. After 20 mins of hovering they give us a table to wait at but still no drinks. Eventually 8.30 we got our table. We went to the bar as sick of waiting for a drink and the bar was just covered in drinks but no staff members had delivered them to the tables, I just helped myself to some of the bar. Table for 12 for an 18th birthday had been booked since sept and it wasn’t one table but 2 separate tables so we had to wait again until they arranged it as one table. Food then took 2 hours to arrive and it was awful all that wait for nothing. We would have walked an hour in to waiting but they had insisted on a large deposit and they had a cake that belonged to us. Asked to speak to manager who took 20 mins to get to us she came out the kitchen where you could see staff laughing and carrying on drinking shots. She apologised and took 50 % off bill to be honest even that wasn’t enough. Terrible food terrible staff terrible experience my recommendation don’t go near the place

Amazing afternoon tea. Staff were really nice but the service was quite slow. This was made up by the offer of a drink on the house without having to mention anything

An Instagramable environment with gorgeous Asian Fusion dining. Cocktails were sublime with exceptional service from from the friendly staff.

Travelled over from Bolton to take my daughter(who lives in Gateshead) here for her birthday this evening. After reading all the reviews we were really excited to come. Don't know if there was different staff on or not but on arrival the waiter was cold and stand offish, couldn't even raise a smile, not even a hello, he looked as miserable as sin!! We both felt instantly uncomfortable. The other 2 waiters were friendlier and actually engaged with us. Food wasn't great overcooked dry chicken, the lady on the opposite table complained of the same, nothing done about it. The place is beautiful but definitely style over substance. Of all the lovely places to eat in Newcastle we chose here, what a disappointment!! I'm just gutted that this was supposed to be a special treat for my daughter and it was anything but!!

Lovely interior...service was little on the slow side but drinks tasted good when they arrived :)

Fantastic environment and service. The third time I come here. Coming for the delicious tomahawk steak but the menu is changed. Fortunately, we still meet a nice steak with special sauce 😽😽

First time visit today for lunch, trying something new, we totally impressed by the food and drinks, not to mention the decor of the restaurant so colourful, stylish and welcoming.the staff here are fantastic and the customer service was great, we were served by Sarah, she was so welcoming, attentive and make natural conversation with us, making us feel at homeWe got the 3 course set meal each at a fantastic price of £10, due to extended government schemeThe cocktails were fresh and delicious and also 2 4 1 😁Deffo recommend trying this gem of a resturant out 👌👌

Went here in saturday to celebrate with friends . We all had the bottomless prosecco brunch and it was amazing . We were seated in the private dining area, the staff could not have been more kind and helpful and very generous with the prosecco. The food was something else !!! Soooooo tasty and the Korean chicken strips omg amaze !!!! Cant wait to go back again
