Marks & Spencer Cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne

Have not been in for a while but the bacon sandwich have shrunk in size had no pure orange juice was a little bit disappointed

Very central cafe on Northumberland St in Newcastle which is very popular with shoppers especially Saturdays and lunchtimes Easily accessed by bus and metro and the huge Eldon Square shopping centre is nearby

It wasn't the best experience. There wasn't enough staff for the busy slot that we were there. Our coffee was like an espresso in an ordinary tea cup. We had to take it back. If we had drunk it I'm sure we would have been ill. The toastie my husband had was hot and fresh. My scone was a little overdone but soft on the inside. It was a pass....just. You may agree, we all do have quite a high expectation of M&S because they used to have such high standards. Things I do think have slipped over the years. But the prices seemed to have done quite well in climbing. 🤷‍♀️

Conventional, sparklingly clean cafe, well positioned for meeting friends off the Hexham bus! There is a Costa in the longer distance bus station, but I enjoyed the almond and blueberry tray bake for a change with my coffee

Took 23 minutes for a toastie to get to our table. You get your food in a restaurant quicker than here. No happy at all.

Lovely friendly staff and a coffee and bacon sandwich was only £4, well worth it.

Nice staff but it could be so much better, l must stress that this is the cafe on the ground floor in Eldon Square.

About what you'd expect from M&S. The decaf coffee is quite nice and mild which is how I like it. It doesn't have that sour note that you often find with decaf as they have individual sachets. They have oat milk too. The vegan options are a bit lacking, particularly for snacks, but from going to the Silverlink one I think they usually have at least one vegan meal. I was just having a drink today.

How penible can M&S be after all this time to put on the door entrance mask requir.They put the sight this week.I just wonder in based of what they put this sight this week ?
