Marmalade in Newcastle upon Tyne

We’d been waiting to come dine here for quite some time and it was very much worth the wait. From start to finish we received excellent service from the waiting staff. We sat down for a selection of dishes, as recommended, and were truly treated. Two gyoza dishes, vegetable spring rolls, pork belly, and a coriander beef dish. Given the speed at which the food arrived at the table, we were amazed with the quality. Certainly a fantastic experience, look forward to trying more of the menu selection in the future.

The Muddler is a nice trendy place, good choice of food and drinks. We went for the chicken pad thai, with duck spring rolls and tempura prawns, which we shared between 2. It was all delicious!The cocktails are really nice, try the blueberry tea 👍 the service was a little slow hence no 5 stars, but it was still a really good experience.

My wife, son and I had a fantastic meal here, we all enjoyed what we had and were well looked after! My son has never had sushi before and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff we so welcoming and helped with recommending courses for my wife and son.Would highly recommend the Muddle, amazing food at a very reasonable price, we will definitely go again when in Newcastle.

Delicious meal with my sister in law. The sushi, bao bun and calamari were all delicious. I’d go as far as saying the sushi was the best I’ve ever had. For main the teriyaki chicken was spot on, but the prawn pad Thai was too salty and too spicy, and I thought it should have had more prawns given the price. But overall we really enjoyed our meal and the service was great. We’ll definitely be back. 4 stars because of the pad Thai only.

We had an amazing night here last night! The food was fantastic and our server couldn't do enough for us. If we are ever in the area again we will defintely return.

Went here for a birthday meal mid week. Surprisingly busy when we arrived. Seated straight away and then proceeded to have amazing fresh sushi. I mentioned when booking we were there for a birthday and got a complimentary Prosecco and dessert 👌

Food amazing. Friendly smiley staff. Fast on cleaning tables. Was such comfortable atmosphere. Couldn't fault the place. Great price too :)

Profusely mediocre. Visited the first time for cocktails with a friend. Standard prices, and the menu looked interesting (compared to your average bar). Unfortunately, neither of our cocktails were anything special. The lychee and ginger one resembled neither lychee or ginger in taste. Was simply gin, with tonic and a pretty flower on top.Although disappointed by the beverages, we looked around the other tables to see the amazing looking food. I knew I had to visit again.Visited just a couple of days ago as part of the Newcastle Restaurant Week. The service was poor, very poor. We waited good 20min for a waitress to come over and ask us for any drinks.The food arrived, and it wasn’t too bad. But it wasn’t anything special either. Everything was tasty apart from the pork dumplings which clearly had something resembling a hot dog sausage inside.Edible? Yes. Tasty? Somewhat. Anything I’d be coming back for? Probably not.It also took us another 20min from asking for the bill to having to ask again and finally receiving it.

Really enjoyed, nice staff, food and 🍺 beer delicious, this was my third visit, will definitely be back again😁👍.

I visited for drinks only. Nice decor, small cocktail menu, attentive staff for most of my visit except when needing the bill. Toilets were a long walk down stairs. The two cocktails I had were nice.
