Very dated and tired decor. Needs a lot of TLC and modernised. Service and services non existing. Poor quality cooked fish (overly greasy batter) and chips condiment sauces were at an extra cost. Very poor value for money. Unfortunately couldn't recommend a visit based on our experience and hope others enjoyed their experience.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The battered prawns were also to die for, and the staff were so, so friendly, but aren’t all Geordies? 100% returning ❤️

Best fish and chips we have tasted, first class service and friendly atmosphere

Traditional chippy that whose only concession to the passing ages is that they now take card payments and there's outdoor seating. There's probably more than a bit of nostalgia here, I remember queuing for the takeaway counter at the back 40+ years ago as a kid; indoors, the place has barely changed one bit. Just scraped through the door before closing time midweek and can't fault the food that was served or the friendly service.

Located in the heart of the popular seaside town; always high quality 'fish and chips'. Great varity of traditional food.

This is the best fish and chips around and the staff here are so friendly.Had chips and curry sauce with batter bits and it was absolutely delicious and well deserved after a few beers the night before!!Well worth a visit if you are in Tynemouth. Thanks!!

Don't blame it on the sunshine. Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't blame it on the good times. Blame it on the boxes. Very recently, Marshalls have introduced new partitioned takeaway boxes which, for a fish and chips meal, have reduced portion sizes by almost two-thirds. There were very few chips overall and the fish was extremely soggy and saturated with oil which made for a very disappointing meal.

We came into this chip shop as it was first we stumbled across. We are literally visit the area again soon just for this food. Absolutely beautiful. Little wait for food which we expected at a peak time but was really really worth the wait. Good value for money. Kids meals really generous.

The food is first rate. I don't normally eat a lot of chips but whatever oil and batter they use is lush. More importantly though - James Marshall Hendrix bought fish and chips from there while gigging in Newcastle in the 60's, so i'd give another 5 stars on top of all that.
