My first pint was a cask ale that was well past its best. The staff were polite and offered a substitute, but I didn't want to play bad beer roulette, so went elsewhere.

I'd highly recommend this pub. The staff were friendly. The local beer, dark or cloudy was awesome. The oven pizzas are amazing! And I enjoyed chatting to the pizza chef, Spence. Very nice English chef 🙂. If came back to Newcastle I'd definitely visit again.

Lovely pub in Newcastle city centre, just near to the train station. The bar staff were friendly & attentive. The bar area was nice and clean. The toilets were clean and stocked with the essentials and were gender neutral. Decent range of real ale. Decent music and a pleasant atmosphere.

Good beer selection and great pizzas courtesy of chef Spencer. My wife said her vegan pizza was the best she's had!

Delicious yet profusely disappointing.Might be one of the best pizzas in town, however the scarce amount of toppings has definitely put us off coming back. In all honesty, it doesn’t matter which one you order - after you bite off the 5 pieces of toppings you will be left with a margarita anyways!Sauces for 90p each are absolutely great if you’re a Lilliput…

Very nice, clean, cosy bar. Wide selection of beers, and while I didn't try the pizza it did smell amazing and I'll definitely be trying it next time I'm there!

·

Decent place for drinks, nice easy access across from the station. Prices aren't too bad either considering the location and a really good variety of beer and cider on for all different tastes.

Visited for dinner and a few beers on a Wednesday night and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff, great pizzas and the goats cheese salad was fantastic. I'm not a beer expert but there was clearly a very good range. Thanks to Spencer the chef and the lovely waitress whose name I didn't catch unfortunately.

Visit this place on Thursday nice friendly.Pizza look good but we had eaten.Reason for 3 star rating .Very untidy loads of glasses on one end of bar the other end loads plates. Not sure whether they had dishwasher but no excuse 2 barstaff and chef doing pizzas. 😉

This is a great bar with excellent choice of beers. We love visiting to try different beers which are changed regularly. Pizzas are also delicious!
