Olivers Cafe Bistro in Newcastle upon Tyne

Visited for an afternoon drink and a cake after a tour round Newcastle. Great hot chocolate and the scones and peach melba’s are glorious….

One of my favorite places to go. It's like you are outside but not!!! Lovely friendly staff. Very fresh food.

I like Olivers cafe in granger Market. Always decent and filling for a good price. Lovely staff. And Simon has a smile and good banter with all the customers while either in cafe or bread shop opposite.

A quintessentially English eatery with welcoming staff, old fashioned customers, and traditional menu in the town's warmest place. It makes you feel that you are in the original England, the one without an American influence on it.

Lovely service but very basic food not good quality. We chose to go to aid with that 'morning-after' feeling but it didn't really help!

I popped in here with my children aged 7 and 5, the youngest was a nightmare and spilt his drink all over his food. I asked the staff if I could have a cloth to tidy it up and they replaced his food and drink without me asking.The service in this place is second to none and I’ll definitely be coming back on a regular bases.

Went here for a breakfast as wanted to try somewhere else other then wetherspoons, very tasty brekkie and staff superb definitely recommend the breakfast

Visited today for breakfast with friends. I just basically googled it and on initial browsing, had a mix of different reviews. Decided to try it anyway - great experience!The food was lovely, served in big portions, and the pricing was reasonable. Wanted to have a no frills english breakfast and they absolutely delivered!I opted to not have the black pudding (because I've never been a fan). However, my husbanf and my friend said it tasted really good compared to the ones they've tried before.The space was sufficient and homey. Staff were friendly and quite accommodating - we were a little bit noisy, but being that it's situated inside the market, there weren't any judgy eyes looking at us.Great place for breakfast and coffee. Highly recommended!

Shocking as in getting one tea bag when we paid for TWO pots of tea. We would love to see little shops like this to keep going but this shocking way isn't the solution. The member of staff wasn't friendly either.

I love this little cafe. We ate breakfast here everyday during our stay in newcastle. It was all very delicious. Even though I did not expect to like the black pudding. The staff was very friendly and the table clean.
