Had a couple of hours to kill in Newcastle and found this curry house hidden away in a side street. Friendly and efficient staff. Cobra beer on draft. Ordered a couple of kebab starters followed by a butter chicken tikka and a house special curry. Both very good and will be going again next time we are in Newcastle.

Great place, traditional cuisine without being pretentious, asked for a methi ghosht, which wasn't on the menu,no problem, not even on new years eve, staff and manager so friendly and accommodating. Dish was delicious as was my the tikka butter chicken. We will be back, the sooner the better!!!

Went here on a whim after work finished late (nearly 11pm). All other takeaway options nearby looked awful. I must have arrived just in time as curtains were closed and staff were cleaning. But 10 minutes later I had a freshly cooked Biriyani. Was 20 minutes before I got back to my hotel to eat, but the food was still hot and fresh tasting. Good flavours, nice and rich curry. Tasted fresh. Great portion size. Onion bhajis were a bit greasy. Staff were friendly too. Decent price!

This is a fabulous curry house. Always made welcome by the staff and the food is fantastic. They will accommodate any requests you have wether it is hotter or not. I can't recommend this place enough.

We had a take-away: staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was very tasty. I have mutton which I love and can’t find in many places. The Biryani was also very tasty.

What I would call a proper curry house. Delicious food, from the poppadoms (the lime pickle is so delicious) to the curries and naan. The staff are friendly and polite without being overly intrusive and the place is spotlessly clean. Well worth a visit, just don't be put off by the surroundings of Pudding Chare.

One of the worst curries I've had. Asked for it to be spicy and it came with the same heat as ketchup would be. My friend asked for it extra hot and it was less than mild.My kharai had more onions in it than a dopiaza would have.Seriously i can't believe that the people of Newcastle have to put up with such poor food as the experience of this place has been the experience of many other places in Newcastle. You want a proper curry then go to Yorkshire or Manchester.

Nice traditional Indian restaurant. I ordered way too much again but eat a lot of it. Nice staff and food ready in under 10 mins. Ordered chilli tikka chicken, Pilau rice, Bombay aloo, Nan bread and poppadoms, all for under £20. Chilli chicken had a great kick to it and all the seeds and spices are delicious. Good meal so coming back next time in Newcastle.
