Sabatini in Newcastle upon Tyne

I was generally dissapointed. What upset me was the Calzone, it looked good when it appeared on the table. As soon as I put my folk into it, it collapsed like a burst balloon. No that's not good.

Amazing friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. The food was delicious!! Would love to come back when in Newcastle!!

First time here, and first time at an Italian tapas restaurant. Absolutely beautiful food. Would definitely return and recommend

Delicious tapas last night in Sabas, our table wasn't ready when we arrived, but we were shown to the bar for some pre dinner drinks and then a very polite member of staff took us and our drinks to the table. The service was prompt and friendly throughout the evening. We ordered 5 dishes, a few beers, cocktails which were on 2 for 1 all night (happy days) and all of the food was brought promptly and was very well presented. The chicken dish was our favourite, char grilled and very well seasoned. It was unfortunate that they had none of the meatballs available. Later in the evening an acoustic guitarist set up and played some cool background music, nothing too invasive to the dining experience, but a nice balance. I'd recommend this place for drinks or food, but book up, as it looked busy throughout our visit.

Fantastic food. Tapas style, but everything fresh. Had a Espresso Martini. Best one l have had easily. Strong ingredients, even the head was thick and tasty. Couldn't fault anything. Can't wait to go back.

Menu is very limited and I'm in doubts if this place will accommodate dogs. You can however expect great customer service, delicious food, fair prices and great atmosphere! I'm so happy we've decided to pop in and try Saba's out. Thank you for turning time spent there into extraordinary experience! Will surely visit again 😃

I came here to eat with my family as it was within walking distance from our hotel and the choice of food looked really good from the outdoor menu. The staff were very welcoming, the lighting was low as it was the evening and there were plenty of tables available, we hadn't booked so we were happy to be accommodated.We ordered cocktails and our food. The drinks were nice and refreshing and the starters were equally good. We ordered a variety of mains and deserts, 3 courses per person. The bill was not too high, probably what is expected for what we ate and drank. Our waitress was very helpful with explaining a couple of the menu options and provided a great service.I would highly recommend this place for its drinks and food. It does have the option to sit outside but at the time we went there were no tables setup but that might be to do with lockdown recently being lifted.This is the kind of place you can go to with family and friends for drinks and food on a night out or have drinks during the day and just chill/have a catch up.

Wow. I'm not one to be negative but.. booked a table arrived on time and we were seated no problems. Gave one menu to share ( Not a big deal but not whatwe're used to) then ordered and we're told food would come as its ready. No problem. Ordered sharing tapas pizza and a pasta. Sharing tapas was poor pasta was oily and pizza was really good. Main gripe was the service. Felt rushed and poor manners. Will mot be going back.

Great service but food was so so. Portion sizes are large but food can be slightly bland. Not great value either after eating at another Italian on an adjacent street a few nights before Sabas.

I went for a meal tonight and my experience with sabas was outstanding. I don't think I have ever had a service as good before. I'd like to say a special thanks to Christine who nothing was too much trouble for. I even ordered a glass of milk and she got it without any trouble at all. As far as the food goes it was beautiful and just perfect. I will be returning very soon
