The gluten free pasta meal I had was amazing as was my husband's regular pasta meal. The only disappointing part was having to pay £1 extra to swap from regular pasta to gluten free, had I wanted pizza it was a charge of £3 extra. I feel those who are gluten free like myself should not have to pay extra and as a person who eats out a lot have never come across this. In addition the only gluten free dessert options were Ice cream. Can't knock the service though and like I say pasta was delicious.

Well what can I say we went as a group of 8 for the bottomless brunch and it was brilliant what a laugh I could hardly speak the next morning from laughing so hard it started our afternoon off to a great start. It was mixed couples and the men had just as much fun the girls serving us were brilliant and our glasses were never empty we couldn't keep up with them. I had the cajan chicken pasta it was the nicest pasta I've had. I can't wait to go and do it all again would defo recommend it we were very hungover on Sunday but thanks to all the staff they were fab. X

My mate got food poisoning and had been scarred for life. He’s now turned vegetarian and he’s lost 2stone as a result of this. He’s been on the toilet for hours now and all I can hear is groaning. DON’T EAT THE CALZONE or you will follow his footsteps to the loo. The Calzone was nice but it does come with a very expensive price. He will be returning but he expects a free (fully cooked) veggie calzone.

It's a great place to eat and also their takeaways are top class. I love the penne pollo pesto.

Great little Italian local. Great atmosphere inside all the food is good, some of it is great and all of it is very reasonable. You can get half portions for a reduced price as well that are still quite ample, would highly recommend for a simple but delicious meal in Jesmond.

very bad experience last night. bad service provided by the manager lady. when I asked for two ice-cream, she used her finger pointed to me asked "you ask for one?" (as my son's ice-cream included in the kid's menu. not very comfortable for the beginning when she asked us to change the seat cause "if make the water on the sofa, then that seat cannot be used in the busy time tonight." but actually my son is 5 now, don't think he can't drink properly. We changed the seat, but can't bear the finger pointed service style. just because the busy time arrived, and didn't say anything.

A little gem of an Italian. Arrived without a reservation as a party of 3 on a Saturday at 7:30 and got seated immediately which is already a very good start. I am also a tad bias as they stock my favourite cabinet Sauvignon which I had a cheeky glass of. I always love a place that is willing to prepare a half serving of a main and so tasted two risottos which were both very tasty and definitely a generous portion. Moving onto mains with a nice gap in between courses we decided to use another fantastic option of half pizza and pasta (alternately we could of had risotto) as well as a lasagna. The pizza was very yummy, a light base that was enough to hold a toppings without being chewy and toppings were very generous and like any pizza a nice helping of gooey cheese. I would of been happy with just the pizza! The Carbonara again was a good half portion and was a mix of spinach and egg tagliatelle, with lots of bacon. As carbonara's go it was very nice, not amazing but definitely comforting. We also had a lasagna which was also a hit. The Bolognese was definitely rich and flavorful and unlike most had actual mince in it. The bechamel sauce was light and went well all together. The bill was Reasonable with a starter coming in at £6 and £9 for a half and half main which is definitely worth what you get and deserves a tip on top. All in all a very nice experience and will definitely be returning.

I went here because i had been to the branch in Shotley Bridge. It gets 4 stars only because i gave the other 5 and i preferred that one. It is a slightly different menu but the same quality, may be a bit more expensive (or did we just have more wine as we weren't driving) either way shotley just edges it but if you are in town i wouldn't waste the petrol. Good service, great atmosphere, excellent night. Congrats to all the staff.

Great place, always got a fair few families/groups even on week nights so good atmosphere although decor could be updated. Food is great traditional italian restaurant and cheap! Really good pizza and the staff are always great.

Stay clear of this place... the restuarant is a dump, cramped and no room for waiting for tables. poorly decorated and run down. I was sat next to a storage cuppord which the staff kept banging in and out of getting tablecloths etc out. My partner was sat next to a radiatior on full blast all night not to mention a vulgar smell of what we can only describe as sewage from the toliets -- this lingered the entire night and made the atmosphere uncomfatable.Starters came a little too quickly from ordering this could be concidered a good sign but seen as my parter and i both ordered something which would take longer than 4 minutes to cook made us feel a bit weary about eating - My starter was undercooked and the vegetables tasted raw (apparentley roasted). Partner tried the squid -- cold, rubbery, overcooked, and tasted like it was out of a frozen bag.Main courses of pasta were not fresh, and my sauce tasted very salty and sickly.Lack of choice with the wine menu and personally i think very overpriced for the quality of the more "expensive" bottles. The whole meal came to about £45 -- which included a bottle of rose wine priced at £15.95, Although more reasonable prices than some places, food lacked quality and taste and i can honestly say we will not be returning to this place or reccomending anyone else to either.
