2hrs 30mins to get served a mediocre 2 course meal, then when it did arrive my wife's was cold. Second time I've eaten their and should have learned from my first. Could bang on for ages about how poor it was but I feel I've wasted too much time on it already.

Absolutely delicious pizza, really good value for money & Service was super speedy. The only downside was our confusion over the menu that was on offer…. Quite limited options & not a main menu full of starters, mains, sides etc… so we only had a choice of 5 pizzas or 5 pastas for mains as didn’t want the options from the Christmas deal menu? But other than that… we had a great time! Thank you!

I used to love visiting here back in the day but I think it has changed management a few times over the years which isn't always necessarily a good thing. My husband and I haven't visited for about 4/5 years and with his parents up visiting us from Essex for the weekend, I decided to book here as we fancied just a nice, classic Italian meal and we'd had good experiences previously.I hate to leave negative feedback for local businesses but tonight I think we were all left feeling a bit disappointed by the whole experience. We arrived an hour early for our reservation but they kindly seated us anyway, it started badly when I ordered a medium rose wine and somehow ended up with a small white wine, I drank it anyway because I don't like to cause a fuss. We then ordered our mains and asked for garlic bread to share, we ended up with four large pizza sized garlic breads for two couples! My husband didn't have any cutlery, which is not being very attentive as the staff should be noticing these things. We felt that the waitress should have asked if we were certain that we wanted four large garlic breads as the customers aren't to know how big they are. Maybe she was new and was still in training but we raised the issue with the older Italian sounding gentleman with glasses who I'm assuming is the manager, saying that she should have checked with us if we wanted that amount of garlic bread and he just shrugged and said, "I don't know." In the end they only charged us for two.Basically the service was very poor but the food was quite nice. The potato skins were a bit overdone for my liking and not enough of them whilst the carbonara sauce was nice but the bacon in it was fatty. I think the service lets the food down sadly and based on tonight's poor service we won't be visiting again. Unforunately I have to say that I think this restaurant was good about ten years ago or so under the previous management. We also noticed that this place used to be absolutely packed out years ago and tonight it wasn't very busy at all.

Absolutely terrible service, no one explained how the menus were working as there was 2 but 1 had no starters on and the other had starters but no prices. When we asked about prices the waiter said don't worry it won't cost thousands or break the bank in an abrupt manner. Took an hour for starters to arrive then another hour for main course which came out wrong order and the waiter explained one of the main courses the Chef had forgot about. Another 2 friends asked to go 50/50 on the same pizza/pasta and the waiter said the chef would not allow that and couldn't do it?!?! So we could order and split ourselves. The food was nice however there was about 4 peices of chicken on the pizza. We were given a drink which had blue roll in it, the whole experience was just laughable.

Last night was the first time we’ve visited since the change of management. If you’re thinking of going, I would think again. It wasn’t a patch on what it used to be like. The service was very slow and I had to even ask for our order to be taken, during which time, I commented to the waitress that it was very cold in the restaurant and asked if the heating could be put on, as we were sat next to a radiator, but it was stone cold. I was advised that the heating was broken, they were waiting for a plumber to fix it, but that I would warm up once my food arrived!! At no point prior to our arrival were we advised of any issues with the heating and I along with other diners kept my coat on throughout the whole meal. Having watched other diners who were seated after us getting their starters, we chased up the whereabouts of ours & were advised that it didn’t matter what order the orders were taken in, it depended on what had been ordered, at which point we were about to leave the restaurant when our starters arrived. Mine was OK, but my partner left some of his, saying it wasn’t very nice. I tried it and would have sent it straight back, but he doesn’t like to make a fuss. The main courses weren’t much better. The highlight was the cup of coffee that was hot so I could warm my hands that by now were freezing cold. We declined dessert as we couldn’t wait to get out of the restaurant & get warmed through. Whilst I appreciate that businesses from time to time have to face problems that they weren’t expecting, I feel that they should have at least either had some temporary heating in place, on what was the one of the coldest evenings of the year, so far, or contacted customers to advise them of the situation, prior to their arrival.

Been here twice over 2 years and each time the food was amazing. Even the simplest of dishes are perfect. Kids meals are big as well. Really love the food and I'm not that much of an Italian foodie cos most places are bland. Not so with this. Every dish looks amazing and every bite hits the spot. Prices are really good too. Drinks are lovely too. Staff are lovely.

Four stars is right. I liked it, a good local restaurant and a good choice for a meal out in Gosforth. The service from dealing with them on the phone, the welcome, the ordering and the bill was good. Polite, attentive but not intrusive. The food was good. The bread was nice enough as were the olives. Likewise the calzone was enjoyable and my wife was happy with her salmon. The coffees and desserts were good. All in all a decent meal for about 25 pounds a head.

Visited Wednesday afternoon. Warmly welcomed as always and able to choose our table (which we always prefer).Service attentive and friendly without being intrusive.Food was excellent. Freshly prepared and well presented. We ordered off the main menu rather than the special. It still offers great value. 2x starter, 2x main and 2x large and small glasses of red and rose wine the bill was £57.
