Soho in Newcastle upon Tyne

Came here for my birthday last night, the food was absolutely amazing!!! The staff took care of us completely, the music and general vibe of the place was so cool and the cocktails were unreal. They have a 2 for £10 deal on the cocktails which were a decent size and all tasted lovely. Would highly recommend the sushi too. Wish I’d gotten the names of the staff as they all were incredible! Thank you so much!

Food and Service 5/5 👌🏽We got a Bento box - only £10 chicken teriyaki (another with salmon +£3) with rice, salad and Korean wings and crispy chicken dumplings.Kagukiri was really good basically a crispy sushi roll.Dynamite Roll - tastes fresh, clean and with a light kick.Berry Smash mocktail 👌🏽 it does have berry bits in which I personally loved but really annoying to drink with a paper straw.

Starter: Salmon Nigiri & Ginza Salmon rollsMain course: Chicken Katsu curryLovely service from the staff, waiting time wasnt a problem, didn't have to wait very long at all and the atmosphere was calm and quiet when we first got in and cleaning standards was spot on! (Literally as soon we got inside at opening time the whole place has been deep cleaned from the tables, chairs and floors even the bathroom was clean and smelt lovely and fresh everywhere) highly recommended and food is always delicious here! Never had a bother every time me and my partner come to this place!

The food was lovely. I told our server I have an allergy and she made sure my order would be suitable for me. They have a lot to offer on their menu! Japanese and Korean food.

The equivalent of eating warm air. I don’t know how they managed to make the food smell somewhat good but taste like nothing. Zero seasoning at all, literally the blandest food we’ve ever had the displeasure of having. I added the sauce and 3 trays of soy sauce, still nothing. If you’re looking for authenticity or at the very least flavour, look elsewhere.

Disappointing visit to Soho. (Group of 4)When we asked the waitress about some of the dishes she had no idea, went to ask another waiter he also had no idea.There were no wine glasses so had to drink our wine out of gin glasses (maybe not so bad)Then when the food came, two of our mains came before the starters, neither of them came with the accompanying side dishes (rice etc) we had to wait 15 minutes then the starters came, waited another 10 minutes then the rice came for my main which I had finished 25 minutes ago.It was very clear that they were understaffed. We asked for some extra sauce… that never came. Asked for the rice etc to be sent back and taken off the bill… that never happened. I then went to the toiled and the only way to describe them was vile. It was as if the elf of the shelf had been and launched toilet roll round the room(no lie see the photo). They stunk of urine and were just disgusting.Such a shame as I was really looking forward to going. Will not be back and will definitely not be recommending to anyone 😷

Nice place, friendly staff, delicious food, only the food was delayed a about 35 min, although there weren't many people, so I think if the place was busy, it would be more late, but overall I will come back to them to try the rest of the food.

Lovely food and friendly, attentive staff. A little bit chaotic when entering, luckily we walked straight up to the bar and got seated from there, rather than at the door.Reasonable choice of drinks and a very appealing menu. Didn't think the chilli beef was very spicy but it was definitely delicious. We'd definitely go back.

Definitely will come back to this place! Amazing place, Amazing food, Amazing price. The price is really good. I love the foods! It was amazing! Note; they provide a very big portion (for me), so, makw sure you choose wisely, but dont worry, It tastes good! You will not regret it. The topokki is the best one that I had so far.
