Service was top notch. Food was delicious - I had a bad stomach the day before and was mindful of eating fried food, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of fish and meat they offer. We had the Ku To Set for 4 which was waaay to much food, but everything was very goodDefinitely would be back here again if I come to Newcastle at one point.

St Sushi has a huge menu so it was difficult to choose what to have because all of it looked so good! There was a good selection of vegetarian dishes as well as non vegetarian dishes. I had the vegetarian selection of sushi and a tofu katsu curry. It was delicious! The service was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly.I would happily recommend to anyone!

We're both fans of Japanese cuisine since visiting the beautiful country back in 2004. It does however mean that it sets a benchmark in what is as close to authentic as possible. We've managed to find that in only a few places in the U.K. St Sushi we feel is very similar to the experience we had at many Japanese restaurants and eateries. The amount of choice on the menu is quite staggering and if this is new to you can be a bit overwhelming. We generally want a nice mix of each type of cooking in place of just having all sushi or sashimi, though that is offered should you want. We opted for a set meal which included a generous portion of a variety of food. The food arrived in good time and the presentation was brilliant. It's a real treat for the eye as well as the palate. We left feeling comfortably full and happy. The pricing is bang on in our opinion. If you're wanting to give Japanese cuisine a go or if you're a seasoned regular we'd certainly recommend. We'll be returning in the not too distant future.

Best sushi in Newcastle or North East. Literally I’m ordering twice, three time a week from there. Always it’s perfect quality food. Fresh and tasty. I love California roll set, Kobe set, my favourite is Sapporo Set. Also very friendly and polite Asian staff.Very recommend 👍😊

Food was fantastic and they moved us to a bigger table as we had ordered quite a bit for 2, so from me it is a 5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the staff, very attentive and helpful, my only downside was i thought the resturant was cold, but saying that will visit again

The food was amazing, the staff was lovely and the overall atmosphere there is great. The sushi is great and quite a bargain if you get a set. The eel and takoyaki are really good and I personally recommend the isoenabe soup. The food is great and they serve decent-large portions. The wait time was only 30-40 minutes for practically a feast. There are so many options and each of them is great. The only downside is how expensive it is but it's well worth the price. Perfect for special occasions or first impression of Japanese food.

Having tasted sushi all over the world, I can honestly say this is the worst I've ever had! We ordered a delivery and firstly it took 2 hours to get to us. We rang the restaurant twice and they kept fobbing us off saying it was nearly here. The sushi is way overpriced for the minute amount that you get and the worst part of all was that most of it was awful. The tuna was not fresh but out of a tin, the rice was old and soggy and most of it had zero flavour. After waiting so long and being so hungry, when it got here we couldn't even eat it. The amount we got cost £70...so so disappointing. Needless to say we wont be getting any sushi from here again.

Quite warm inside but food was great. The food service isn't the fastest but you don't mind if the quality is good, which it is!I live near here and see the owner make multiple fresh delivery's to the chefs every day when I walk the dog. The food is very fresh here that's for sure.We ordered grilled eel, deep fried oysters, salmon skewers that were on special, deep fried squid, soft shell crab sushi, and 3 bento boxes. We had a large warm carafe of sake, a cocktail and 2 soft frinks. It all came to £82. Absolute bargain and the eel was amazing, so soft and delicate. The toilet is multi sex and has 3 cubicles upstairs so no good if you are disabled, very clean. Great service and great fresh food.

One of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle. Delicious Japanese food at reasonable prices with brilliant service. The bento boxes are great for the variety of flavours you get. Sushi here is always spot on - fresh and great portions. There are so many things to try here. The only thing is that I get confused by some of the Japanese sauce names so maybe have a bit of a research before going.Highly recommend this place
