Have ordered multiple times on deliveroo - good quality mixed grill - usually go for the munch box which comes with shawarma, rice, chips, lamb cubes - also decided to try the hummus which was exceptionally good - sauces provided are top quality

This place has went down hill, I would avoid.I went with the kids and ordered a few things from the menu. The food did not come together, it came separate and had to wait a while, and was warm not hot, also asked for some ketchup for the chips, and they don't have any. The burger we ordered was missing halomi and cheese and when asked took to long to rectify. The place looks tired and is very dirty. The staff were good and polite, however under staffed for a staurday afternoon. The windows were dirty, blinds are filthy and window ledge full of dead insects. See photo. The seating area requires cleaning as it is stained. It's a shame as the place in Gosforth is night and day difference compared to this.

I was sad to see some poor reviews about this restaurant: I was sad when I started eating our meal because it took me right back to my previous life in the Middle East! We had it delivered on a Wednesday night to Washington. It was fresh, tasty, authentic...what more can I say? Next time we're in the North East we hope to dine in. Well done 'The Bake'!

Fantastic food and service, we arrived late after a bad day on a bank holiday weekend. They welcomed us in and prepared a delicious meal. Would recommend to anyone.

If I could score a BIG 0 I would as the food order was wrong and they did not even get back in touch with me when I made the effort to resolve the issue with them but I am still waiting for the phone call back and my original order not happy and shall say don't order from this place avoid like the plague.

Very disappointed. Incorrect order... I've ordered from here before and it was decent. Unfortunately my recent past experiences have been poor. Food was extremely late, took over 80 minutes resulting in the food arriving cold and moist. Salt and pepper chips were awful no onions and not crispy. Ordered some kibbeh shamiyeh and got some kema bread instead? The shawarma meat is not enough to be considered a meal with chips the content of the box was really not enough considering it was ÂŁ16.99 for shawarma, chips and salad... it literally had 5 chips in. Awful never again.

(previously 5 star review and regular customer)- Falafel was burnt- Salad was depressing and clearly not fresh- The Bake Salad missing from the order altogether- Lamb shawarma was tough and clearly not freshly cooked- Chicken and Hummus was the only redeeming part

YOU WILL REGRET EATING/ORDERING FROM THIS RESTAURANT ! I have ordered my meal of chicken shawarma with humus, bread and two banana milkshake, when the order arrived and I opened the awfully wrapped food; wrong order for the drinks as they brought mango juice instead of the banana milkshake…the shawarma was very stale and cold, I tried to taste it but it was really bad. The bread I ordered was for sure coming out of the fridge as it was cold and solid maybe it’s a week old . The fries are not fried well and tastes funny. I called the restaurant to have an answer from the person that they are “very busy” which I doubt with this food quality.. He said they did not have banana milk shake so they decided that I would love the Mango juice instead… funny right. They did not even call to let me know about this and then when I told him about the bread and the shawarma he said again we are too busy I’ll try to call you after 10 and hanged up. I called back again to tell them to collect their meal and issue a refund, for the person on the speaker from the restaurant to tell me very rudely that this is not his problem and to go solve this with the delivery app which adds no sense for his lousy food quality, wrong order and this customer service I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone . Nothing is right with it and you will be wasting your money and ruin your mood after waiting for a food thinking it would be great but turns out the opposite.Note : the foos price in the pictures worth 29.3 pounds; Absolutely wastage of money

I rate this 1 star because there is no 0 star option. We ordered from here through deliveroo and received the "king bake mixed grills". It was served to us as meat and kebab on a bed of Arabic bread. After eating half of the portion, we realized that the bread hidden by the meat had mould growing on it extensively. As a result, anyone who had consumed the contaminated food is now feeling unwell and nauseous. Tried to get through to the restaurant as well but the line was busy continuously and noone picked up. We contacted deliveroo and have requested a formal investigation. Should any staff from the restaurant come across this review we demand compensation and that you are held accountable for having terrible hygiene standards that puts your customers at risk. Definitely would never order from this restaurant again. Save your money and order from elsewhere.

Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived within the time slot and was nice and warm, i had the Tabbouleh, Falafel, Mango Lassi and The Bake Mixed Shawarma! All were tasty, the Falafel could do with a dip as it was slightly dry non the less it was still tasty đź‘Śđź‘Ť
