Laid-back, real ale pub with a log fire, weekend DJs, local art on the walls and terrace seating.

Awful. Ordered 3 Sunday dinners - one beef and 2 chicken. Had to return my dinner as the chicken was so dry it bounced off the plate and the carrot was still raw. Would not recommend. Not to mention overpriced - £2.60 for a small bottle of diet coke. Don't bother yourselves.

Great food, great pints and great pub quiz! The staff were all friendly and hosted a great night. I will definitely be back for another quiz!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to The Forth and it’s changed for the better. The selection of drinks is still above average. The furniture is less “sticky” than it used to be. And the food is fine if a bit uninspired.Overall a perfectly decent stop for a beer and a burger.

I do love this bar- the atmosphere, the quirky room layouts and furniture. The view on the old street and so comfy. Ah of course the drink! They have my fave wheat beer and lovely staff- thanks keep on keeping on!

We chose The Forth for our staff Christmas lunch, and it was a resounding success! We can be a picky bunch, but the result was that every single member of our party was thrilled with their food. Special shout-out to the falafel starter which was superb! Beautiful Christmas lunch, all fresh and beautiful, and reasonably priced too. Clean plates and happy faces all round! Superb service, lovely surroundings and honestly can’t fault!

Interesting experience here.Food was okay, however one of the dishes was served without some of the advertised ingredients. Refund was given on that dish.Several of the items on the menu were not able to be served. This was owning to the pub across the road being closed for food and so the Forth had unexpected custom.Good customer service but do not think I will be rushing back.Takes American Express.

Comfortable atmosphere, dropped in for lunch before our train journey home, had chicken wings and nachos to share, big portions and staff were happy for our request of sauces to be separate from the nachos (nachos were huge)

Pre-concert meal. Used to drink Tetley bitter here in the 80s when the north east was mostly a real ale dessert. Now much renovated and extended, we ate in the area I think used to be the ladies loos. Great meal served from a good choice of dishes by hard working staff. We waited a while, but still made the support band, so all was well. Thanks folks: we'll be back

Came here years ago and was pleased to see the food was still just as amazing. As a spice fiend the friendly staff recommended the Sloppy Jaloppy which I had with 2 sides. The burger was amazingly cheesey and tasty. And althoguh not spicy enough for me, they had a great selection of hot sauces to add. Brilliant! The total bill with 2 beers was £22. More than reasonable and will return on my next visit. Great selection of beers too!
