Went Newcastle Quayside first time with friend's 60th birthday drinks.Nice room, having a portion of chips as taste perfect that I can taste salt with vinegar.Saw people going in then going out seem popular. Unfortunately another function room is close for wedding only.

Good beer selection, with at least 20 different draft/cask beers. Friendly staff with knowledge about what they serve, good atmosphere. The kitchen was closed when we were visiting on a Sunday, so can't tell you anything about the food.

First time in Newcastle, me and my wife were looking for somewhere to eat on the quayside and we stumbled across,"Head of Steam", probably not the kind of place we would normally choose, but what the heck we were both starving. The meal came and it was really rather good, the staff were excellent too, also I had a superb pint of IPA ,the music was Great also,so it turned out to be a really enjoyable evening, well done Head of Steam.

Always, always our favourite place for eats and drinks. Lovely, lovely bar staff and very dog friendly too. We even enjoy the music here. So good in fact that we held my son's 18th birthday in a private seating area. Fabulous 👌

Nice pub and plenty of seats / room. Food is good when I've had it before, but I've notice recently they have been slow in the kitchen and it was closed for food the other day when we popped in for a drink. Hope this issue with the kitchens is resolved as it's a canny pub with great vegan options for food.

Very nice bar, very good selection of quality beers.Nice American style food menu.I had the dirty fries which were pretty good.Top tip for lunchtime, the fire specials come with a cheap pint, so well worth checking out before you order your drink. The steak sandwich (with skin on fries) was also very good.Tucked away off the quayside but well worth a visit.

Sprawling layout with a great atmosphere. Railway theme, obviously. Massive choice of beer and lager. Really nice food.

Don’t bother with app - utter rubbish. Placed the order and then the app crashed. Was told the order hadn’t gone through so I just cancelled it. Checked my bank account two days later and I’ve been charged for food a didn’t receive. The service isn’t much better. Bar man swore at me because the beer I ordered needed changing. More than half the menu wasn’t available at 18:45 in the evening. Won’t be coming back here again.

Nice drinks (quite strong as well), the food is not bad but not a 5/5, but overall a nice variety and quite large portions. Some really nice tunes were on when we were there.
