Sliders and prawn starters were spot on and and the cocktails were delicious!

Overpriced mediocre food. Service was terrible, waited over 40 minutes for our empty plates to be collected, and then they had the audacity to add a large service charge to the bill. In addition to this, the table was asked if we wanted water for the table (which anyone would assume would be tap water) and then we were charged for this at the end! There are much better value places in Newcastle with much better food. Will not be returning.

Really lovely decor and ambience. The staff were really helpful however this place was let down by the food. I ordered a thai curry and the rice was soggy and inedible - the citrus taste was so strong I couldn't eat it. I was given chips as a replacement but chips and thai curry don't work so well.

Lovely restaurant with great food. Would definitely recommend it. Two of our party are Gluten intolerant. They had a gluten free roast dinner which they said was the best gluten free meal they had ever had..!! Compliments to the chef.!!

Nice venue,the booths for dining are great. Food was good. One thing to note was after arrival I was catching up with my dinner guest and after being asked a couple of times if we were ready to order, (we weren't) the member of staff passed a comment that it had been over five minutes and we still hadn't ordered. 🤷‍♂️

Never been here before but will definitely go againWished I'd been warned about the portion sizes as they are bigVery well priced with menu options for 2 or 3 courses.Exquisite decor and the staff are so helpful. Easy to find as across from central station.

This is 1 of my favourite places in Newcastle went for lunch and after over 3 hours in there for lunch I was left fuming initially started well starters came out after 30 minutes and were excellent what followed was just a shambles waited another 30 minutes for mains then was told by waiter there was cheese in the bun as my wife is allergic to cheese we changed hers to fish another 30 minutes later had to call him over again nothing had come out kitchen he said chef had disappeared we were given 2 complementary drinks another 25 minutes later the mains arrived mine was delicious but I'm afraid my wife's was certainly not up to standard the fish was small and overcooked the waiter came back and offered us free sweets because of all the mix ups 25 minutes later we had to call him over again were is our sweets another 15 minutes they finally arrived and very nice they were but the whole experience was absolutely shocking shame on you Hudson you are much better than this

Visited The Hudson for restaurant week and was very happy with my experience.We were seated and given the food and drinks menus. They brought are drinks and took our order which we took from the restaurant week menu. On the starters arriving I was very impressed at the size of the servings considering we were only paying £20 per person.I can definitely recommend the lemon and herb infused chicken skewers and the pan roasted sea bass finished off by white chocolate cheesecake to finish.If the portions were downsized for restaurant week you still got value for money and definitely would recommend you try here.The staff were friendly and polite accompanied by great food what more can you ask.

It was nice to watch your food being prepared from where I sat. On the evening I ate here there were only two chefs working. However they happily adapted the main course to suit my allergies. The food was delicious. The staff were very accommodating. My only criticism is none of the desserts were dairy free so I think they may need to have a look at this.

Such a stunning place with fantastic vibes, way bigger than I initially expected it to be. They have different seatings with indoor and outdoor options. I loved everything I have ordered apart from the burger in which I found to be very very dry and not fresh at all. Furthermore, service was very slow and it was clear to see there wasn’t enough staff serving. Nonetheless I think I would come again.
