Nice little place. Stayed here for the night after a night out, perfect location right next to the city centre and near small car park which is free until 8am. Room was decent, good size and clean with a very large, comfy bed. Friendly receptionist and you weren’t rushed to check out in the morning which is always good (check out time was 11, didn’t leave until around 11.40). Well worth the money for the night, can’t complain👍🏽.

I stayed with my sister for a night and it was disgusting. The overhead shower didn’t heat up and the handheld shower didn’t have a hook to hang it on. It doesn’t seem like they clean very well as there was mould in the shower and one of my towels had orange-brown stains all over it 🤢🤢. It also seemed like there was no fan/ventilation in the bathroom so it got too steamy. There was no big light in the room, only small lamps, so the lighting was very poor and the room seemed pretty dark. The beds were comfortable though.

Very close to the shopping street and the city centre. The hotel exterior is a bit rundown, clearly a very old building. The corridor is a bit dark, feels quite eery. Rooms are okay. Large bed, clean bathroom. Some appliances like the TV and AC are old. The TV wasn't connected by cable so no channels. Can't figure out how to switch on the AC, but I didn't need it. But, overall, my stay wasn't that bad, tbh.

After completing my coast to coast cycle route of 127 miles I stayed at the New Bridge. Great value for money as I paid £31.50!I emailed the day before asking whether I could leave my bike in a secure room, and they agreed to lock it away in the luggage room. It's central location is fantastic, I just wish all the pubs were open back to normality but we all know that this may never be the same again? The receptionist is absolutely gorgeous and very helpful, she is a credit to the hotel, Lovely!!I'll definitely be using the hotel again!!

My wife and I stayed here recently as we needed somewhere cheapish to stay near the centre of Newcastle. Don't get me wrong, for the price, I wasn't expecting the ultimate hotel experience, but I left disappointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming, so I've got no complaints there, but the room was a bit shabby... The bathroom had a shower that had about as much power as Theresa May did, and it's not really designed for a taller person. I was also frustrated with the lack of plug sockets in the room. That may seem like a petty complaint, but it made charging things tricky. The room was cold and the storage heater stopped working - to be fair to the hotel, I did not report it as I thought the room's heating would heat the room up throughout the night, but sadly this did not happen. The bed itself was comfortable to be fair, but the pillows were thin, which meant I slept very poorly, especially as the room never really got warm.2 stars may seem harsh, but Google rates that as 'OK', which is how I would describe my stay at the hotel.

It is mostly clean, the bed is comfortable, shower temperature is easy to control. close to the city just few streets away, take 5min to arrive. The elevator is a bit weird, weird sound can be heard while it's using. But it's not a big problem. Prices are great. Only take me 35pounds for one night. Single bed .

Cheap and cheerful. A budget hotel with some rather odd aspects of converting a Premier Inn to something else. Rooms are basic, yet clean. Bathroom was tiny. Don't expect to fit in the bath, unless you're under 3ft. Overall, a handy place to stay in the city.

Having recently stayed as part of a bigger group we found the hotel to be clean, welcoming and in a great location! We were able to walk to local shops and restaurants within 5 minutes. Breakfast was cheap and had good variety (gf and vegan food available) The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When returning at night we were met by other helpful and friendly staff, in particular, Neil. The hotel felt safe and secure and although basic it had all the essentials. I will definitely stay again. THANK YOU NEW BRIDGE HOTEL!

Parking is next door to the Hotel. No lifts or disabled parking although it's free if you have a blue badge?!? My other half had to park the car on the top floor for me.Hotel is welcoming and clean (downstairs). [Disabled] room is very spacious and wheelchair accessible. Bathroom is massive with only a bath and overhead shower. No good if you want/need a wetroom. Sliding door didn't work (sign on the back 'ensuring door is closed as steam from shower could activate the smoke alarm').No TV remote either. For £120 I expected far better and cannot justify the price charged.Saying that, staff were friendly and beds comfortable (so not all negative).Would I stay again? It wouldn't be in my top 3 and only if nowhere else was available with an accessible room

First time staying at this hotel. It was an Expedia booking and was reasonably priced. The staff and reception was very welcoming and helpful. My room is very adequate. It would only take a lick of paint to make it worthwhile of another star. Clean towels and bedding and all the other amenities that you would expect. Placed in the middle of the city centre it is more than acceptable for it's bargain price. Although I have given it 3 stars it could quite easily become a 4 if only the small details were taken care of.
