The Peninsula in Newcastle upon Tyne

We use the Peninsula every time we get a chinese takeaway and have always loved it however the last twice we have been its been very disappointing. The ribs last time were inedible as they were literally just fat on a bone the tonight our order was incorrect as one of the chicken dishes was beef and the chicken chow main had the most bizarre taste. £40 down the drain and cereal for tea. Will definitely be rethinking our options for next time. Very disappointing.

We had a lush takeaway from peninsula last night, food was very nice and fresh, good portions and they went above and beyond calling back with a portion of rice we had forgot to put on order, no extra charge for delivery, really friendly and helpful, great service will definitely be using as our regular now 😀

A long time favourite for excellence food. Used to be on Just Eat but can now order direct. Food always lovely and hot. We love the chow mein!

Oh my god the food at the Peninsula is fantastic. I've been working my way through the menu and have enjoyed every single meal. They are very consistent with the quality of the food, perfect every time. A family business, the hostess out front has one of the most amazing memories for her customers details and always has a smile no matter how busy. It's worth a visit for that reason alone. I never looked forward to a take away meal until we tried The Peninsula. I'm a very fussy eater so believe me when I say you won't regret giving them a try.

Best chinese takeaway in Newcastle. The food is excellent, always high quality. Delivery drivers are also quick and no fuss. Jackie the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Ordered food through UberEats and was impressed. All the food was very tasty and arrived hot, some of the portions were a little smaller than expected but for two people there was enough for us both.

Had better Chinese food from Iceland as ready meals. Processed meat in the special fried rice. Sweet n Sour chicken tasted a few days old, and I use the word taste loosely as it had hardly any taste. Food was also freezing. Never again.

Terrible food. Used to be lovely, ordered shredded beef and It was totally inedible, impossible to chew. Seaweed chicken was awful, chicken was like rubber Singapore fried rice was tasteless. Would never use again!!!!
