I used to love it: really good food and delivery. Lately the delivery has been worse, but this is the last time we order as we haven't even received the food. Placed the order about 8pm and the estimated time was 40 minutes, then they changed the time to 9.15pm. We called the place as food was not here, the person at the phone said the driver left, 30 minutes later no food, called again and person at the phone again said the same thing. Writing the review at 10.10pm and food is not here. Phone goes to voicemail. Ordered through Deliveroo so at least we got a refund. Even the people at Deliveroo told us they couldn't get in touch with them. Absolutely awful service.

Ordered a hot dog and a burrito with a portion of chips.Arrived an hour and a quarter after ordering, burrito was lukewarm with a lovely long black hair in it. The hot dog was stone cold but spot on bar that. The chips were soggy without much flavour. This place used to be great however as of recent times it hasn’t been up to scratch

The few times they have had vegetarian options in it has been lovely but literally NEVER seems to have veggie stock. Seriously how hard is it to have the stock in? Think I’ll give up with here as it is a joke

Terrible!!!. Given an hour and half wait....fair enough its Friday they'll be busy but they didn't even deliver the time they stated it was to be delivered - 20 mins later. When food arrived half of order was missing, food freezing cold and order wrong! Fair do my partner said his burger was nice but cold. When trying to ring the restaurant to query the rest of our order i could not get through as kept going to voicemail after 2 rings. I therefore rang the delivery driver as he rang asking for address. He said he would ring restaurant and get back to me. Shocker....no call returned. I then contacted just eat who got in touch with restaurant to be informed the restaurant would call me .......again no call. We ordered £30.00 worth of food and didn't receive all things ordered. Absolutely shocking. Feel free to order here if you want to wait a ridiculous amount of time for your food and be ripped off. Such a shame as ordered here before and food was decent. Lack of response from restaurant was dissapointing.

Good food. However, our food took 2 hours to be delivered and when it arrived it wasn't what we asked for. 1.30 hours in I rang and the guy on the phone lied to me saying that the food was out for delivery when it obviously wasn't since it took another 30 mins and nothing had arrived. Rang again and the guy on the phone told me that the driver had broken down HMMM yeah ok.... another lie.Customer service was bad since we called to complain after receiving our food (and realising that it wasn't what we ordered) and the manager said that he was too busy to talk on the phone and that he would call me back that night, but he never rang back. Simply rude customer service. They thought that giving us one free slice of cake would make it all ok. It's a real shame because we were loyal customers of Top Dawgs, but now I think we'll go elsewhere.

Been ordering food from here for ages, burgers always cooked to perfection, food actually has flavour. One of the very few places in Newcastle that actually serves tasty food for delivery.. Have had the delivery come slightly late once or twice, but other than that have never had a problem.

Been to this place before for a 'Vegan' Dog about 2 months ago (as I'm a vegan).. Came back with a friend especially for this because it was so nice...They had ran out of hot dogs, which at first I was gutted by... But then the guy who worked there told me that the bun that the vegan hot dog is in is NOT VEGAN. I obviously was NOT told this the first time I went there or else I would not have gotten it in that bun. You CANNOT advertise something called a 'Vegan Dog' when it is not 100% vegan. That is FALSE advertisement. It is a vegetarian hot dog, as the bun is made with egg and butter.I am FURIOUS that this was not explained to me on my first visit. If it was an allergy (luckily it isn't) there would be a massive uproar.CHANGE THE NAME OF THE HOT DOG, or change the bun. SIMPLE.

Disappointing, unprofessional & the manager/owner is by far one of the rudest people I've ever spoken to.Whilst watching this restraunt cook my food... i noticed the same tongs where used for the cooked and Raw meet. This is VILE! This is cross contamination, this is a BREACH of health and safety. Absolutely disgusting place, the gent behind the counter kept wiping his face and touching food also. Disgusting, disgusting, Disgusting!!!!! Avoid.

Big apple hot dogs is a great place to eat with a modern and fresh feel inspired by the American food craze we are experiencing at the moment. Why though, this company with a vibrant and modern image (the reason i was first attracted to the place) has decided to rebrand itself with a generic, lifeless and unappetising name and image, I do not know why??If "big dawgs" would like to increase business I would suggest not putting themselves into such a niche market as just selling hot dogs. Why there hasn't been a mass abundance of hot dog takeaways in Britain is because there are much more popular and more profitable types of food to sell.I do commend the company for pioneering such an idea, I have welcomed it and I am sure many others have too.I will not ignore the fact that you are now selling really good quality burgers, but it seems you are ignoring that fact. With your recent rebranding shouldn't the fact that you don't only sell hot dogs be considered? In my opinion big apple hot dogs should of stuck to there original logo and marketing and possibly renamed themselves to 'big apple BBQ house', 'big apple meat shack' or something similar, keeping inline with there original U.S food image. The recent rebrand feels like a desperate and ill considered move.

Food was great the first time we went but the quality seems to have gone steadily downhill with each successive order. Second time we ordered they didn't deliver but claimed they had, and the customer service was poor. Won't be returning
