This Wilko's is over 3 floors. Floor 1 is cleaning products, pet food, sweets, soap, shampoo etc. Second floor is kitchen things pot pans plates. Lighting, gardening and fancy vases imitation flowers and stuff like that. Then the top floor is DIY and a small cafe. I have not used the cafe but its normally got a few people in.

Dear Wilko TeamI am writing this with deepest concern about the security personnel in you Newcastle upon Tyne (8-16 Nun St,) who I have witnessed today being extremely rude and unsympathetic to very frail and clearly distressed elderly gentlemen, who was may I stress to you clearly unwell and confused however was not some tramp as well dressed and clean. The man found it stressful to que and only wanted to buy little bag of Maltesers but found it stressful to be in crowds of people judging by his body language etc, security man kept saying "i'm security not staff" numerous times instead of helping the elderly gentleman then snatched the sweets off his hand, dropped them on random shelf and ushered elderly gent outI have proceeded to get the bag of sweets for the gentleman as he was still in bus stop outside the shop, he was very thankful indeed and clearly upset about the situation that happened in your shop. Your floor/ cashier staff is brilliant in this shop, and they get hundreds of elderly people through the doors every day so to have some middle aged bald "security guard" that has absolutely no respect for your company or your customers by acting like this is a big shame :(

Went to this store whilst in Newcastle. Thought we would go ro cafe and get something to eat. Ordered 2 large coffees while hubby was deciding what to eat . The future on the roll said no hot food as we close at 4.30pm . It was 3.50.so we sat down to drink our coffee. The same guy came over at 10 past 4 as we were getting ready to go and said. " we are closing now so if you want to use the toilets. I would go now before I lock them"There was plenty of time to do hot food. And if you close at 4.39 why are you kicking people out at 10 past....

I love Wilko. It is my local shop of essentials everywhere inside England. This shop has a lift to gain access to floors for so many different items. I personally never used the lift but saw many people in need fund the lift was useful. I always feel so welcomed by the staff there. They are extremely helpful. Not once I had disappointment from their service. They work very hard to keep the floors running.Thank you for your service at all time. I genuinely appreciate the work they have done for Wilko.

If its wilcos gateshead next to the metro if your driving its not recommended to park your car in the car park, the meter is not clear on instructions on how to use it, I found it difficult and I got a fine to shop there, I will never go back to that shop now! If wilcos what my business there why ist it free!!!!! Parking that is!!!

Staff always friendly and efficient. Lots of empty shelving but then again was Sunday afternoon. Bought what I needed other than food bags. Good place for lots of everyday shopping for household.

Two tills open. Huge queue outside and huge queue inside. If I asked to open another till I received a very intimidating attitude from the staff.Never go back again.Editing my rewiew from last year:Today 20 September 2021Absolutely disgusting staff attitude in this shop . I will go back when all the till will gone be self scan and no need of supervisors and manager .Just a small advice for the actual supervisor. You can address whit my love and sweetheart to your boyfriend, not to the customer in the shop.
