A super quirky spot for authentic Thai food in the heart of the town. Good selection of drinks and very helpful staff. This restaurant gives a real vibe of sitting in a restaurant in Thailand except without the tropical weather. Staffs are all Thai so they are well-mannered. There's quite a variety of foods on the menu. However, I found some dishes on a sweet side which may suit more customers in the area. It's worth a try at least for the larger selection they got.

The interior of Zaap Thai screams THAILAND!! An actual ‘Tuk-Tuk’ (Thailand’s form of taxi) welcomes you at the door, and it feels like you’ve stepped into a Thai Hawker Centre. You get to see the chefs clanging on their woks as they prepare the dishes. I love the vibes of it!I ordered Beef with Garlic & Chilli. Despite the portions being on the smaller side, it was delicious. I asked for extra spicy, and I got exactly that.We ordered two other tofu curry dishes, which was great stuff. Mango sticky rice for dessert - that was lovely, albeit the mango being on the sour/unripe side.While the focus here is on Thai Street food, I was surprised that in terms of price, it happens to be at the same range as ChaoPhraya in Eldon Square (Thai Restaurant Food).

I love the decor, and they did make my food spicy like I requested... but that's sadly where the praise ends. I ordered pad kee mao and they used the wrong noodles (it's usually flat rice noodles, I got the thinner ones) and chilli was the only thing I could taste - I'm not complaining that it was too spicy, I'm complaining that there were no other flavours. As you can see from the picture, the colour is very light... I suppose I should have said something, but they had already closed the kitchen anyway. It did seem authentic and there was a table full of Thai people enjoying whatever they ordered, but maybe noodles just aren't their strength.

Food was beautiful and piping hot. Staff are very nice, friendly and accommodating. It is decorated with lots of thai signage and there are tuk tuks with tables in you can sit at. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because they brought our starters together which was great, I had dim sum and he had bau buns and they were lush but then my husbands main course was brought out ages before mine. When you go out for a meal you expect to eat your food together. I noticed this was the case at other tables too. This was the only negative part of our visit. Would highly recommend.

Yes it is a chain restaurant but the food quality has always been above and beyond. The are loads of options to choose from and every single one of their dish is delicious! I would particularly recommend their whole sea bass - either steamed or deep fried and you won’t regret it.

I wanted to go somewhere a bit different w my partner. This place came up on google and it was most definitely the right choice. It was a fun vibrant atmosphere.. the menu had over 80 items on it and another menu for drinks.. the food really was incredible and it was fast service. Where else can you go sit in a tuk tuk for dinner in the UK? :-) highly recommend. Well be back here.

Great atmosphere that feelw like a traditional thai food street and lots of colors and styles combined into one place. Lots of sitting space and food is really delicious. And lots of food options. Stafd is very friendly as well. A must go place for sure. Highly recomended

The ambience was perfectly set to replicate Thai street style. Everything was amazing!! Unfortunately during my visit there was no tofu dishes available, so I had to resort to Spring rolls (good deal and delicious) and Pad Thai with no tofu (it had sweetness to it, which is not my cup of tea, but I still managed to enjoy).

Good selection of authentic dishes served quickly and with a smile. Good value for money as decent size portions. Would give 5* but found my prawn Pad Thsi a little too sweet for my taste..all in all great place to visit.
