The best sea bass I’ve ever eaten.Fast, friendly, accommodating, amazing service, lots of staff. We were really lucky to find this place and I think I’d drive all the way up from Yorkshire to eat here again!Just outstanding all round. One of the best eating experiences I’ve had. I don’t need to say any more.

What people have said about this place is absolutely right! The food is fantastic and the staff are absolutely lovely.Pictures don’t do the food justice and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.Doesn’t take American Express, has baby changing facilities and high chairs are available.Booking is recommended as it was super busy even on Monday lunch service.

From the moment we walked in we got the friendliest welcome! We opted to sit in the sunshine but the decor indoors is warm and interesting. We had the steak and Ale pie, brownie and keylime pie. Everything was sublime. We will def be back to try the other items on the menu which is interesting and look oking at other food equally fabulous.

Amazing place, we like to eat here when we're up at our caravan, the food is amazing and the service is always great and the portions are very generous. The only down side is the pub is so popular you need to book well in advance. Would highly recommend and the key Lime cheesecake is out of this world.

Had a pork dinner (Tues) which was fantastic. 2 Yorkshires, several roast potatoes and a selection of veg. Portion size was huge. I can’t remember having such a lovely wholesome, homemade meal for such a long time. Hubby had the steak pie which he said was so good. Value you for money.

Lovely meal. Three adults and 2 year old. Found us a secluded part of the pub, which by the way is made up of quirky dining areas. Homemade chicken nuggets for little one and very tasty adult main courses and puds. Friendly service.

12 of us came for lunch on New Year’s Day and were accommodated in the shed outside… so much nicer than it sounds! Fairy lights, grass carpet and heaters, so cosy despite being open to the elements! A great covid safe facility. The food was amazing too, especially the steak pie 👌🏻

A charming quaint old restaurant. The food I'd absolutely delicious ,shame I didn't leave room for a dessert , as they looked wonderful. Very busy place. We had to book a table. I will definitely be going back again.

Beautiful little pub with great ambience and brilliant staff. We sat outside in the "garden shed" which was so cosy and the music was brillI had the pie and chips which were spot on and unusually for me, I couldn't finish. Meals if I remember were between £11-16 and £26 for the big steak. Chips were triple cooked, some crunch and creamy inside. Pie crust was delicious and filling was meaty and lovely flavours. Hot chocolate for the birthday boy was really nicely presented with marshmallows and cream. This place gets very busy on weekends and I can see why. Highly recommend

Old tradition pub. Lovely area outside. Food was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Men's toilets were immaculate, doesn't happen often. Very nice. Will definitely return for more.
