Crab & Waltzer in North Tyneside

Quirky place. Owner was great. Dog friendly. Simple menu for lunch/brunch. Sandwiches were lovely. Wine was fantastic, I brought 2 bottles to take home. Highly recommended.

Hi, yes no problems, bar looked nice when we entered, no one in apart from one other couple, we came in thinking it was going to be a seafood restaurant because of the name of the establishment, we read the menu and there was no fish whatsoever, only burgers and a special of Cornish pasty, just confused as to what the connection to crab is and a little disappointed that it lacked atmosphere for a bar in mid summer on a Friday on payday .

Great drop in right on Whitley Bay beach main promenade. Great selection of food and drink, candy floss surprisingly. Some unique seating areas - an old waltzer car! Worth dropping in for the food. Dogs welcome.

Very nice place and friendly staff but some of the food is expensive for what you get. I got waffles with lotus biscoff and cream for £8.50. it was very nice but you only get 2 waffles with some biscoff and squirty cream which is more than enough but the price is excessive. Nice place but can be expensive for some items.

The coffee is amazing, the place was pretty busy but that makes sense given the location and time we were in at.Great staff dispite the lunch rush and would 100% go again.Next time I will get the crab.

Lovely staff, fab location, food is great- especially the burger and drink deal. Would benefit from a proper kids menu and later hours as shuts quite early. Also a dessert menu would be a good as they don't seem to have one.

We had our wedding reception here and it was amazing! The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us and to top it off I wanted corn dogs for the buffet and they couldn't actually get any so they made me them from scratch! Can't actually thank them enough for how amazing our day was there. Would highly recommend using them for any events or even just to go out for food as they're dog friendly! Awesome place awesome staff!

I loved this place, it had such charm! The food was lovely, the view was beautiful and the service was excellent. I loved the menu choices . I would go again, however I’m all the way in Canada! On my next visit I do plan to come back.
