Lovely refurbishment on the pub and great staff. Let down by the food. Sunday lunch beef was dry and overdone and really shouldn't have been served and a desert was a bit pricey at £6.95.

Good choice of beers on tap and the decor is fresh and interesting while remaining cosy. Plenty of booths and tables spaced out so it doesn't feel too crowded either

Well we love what they have done with the place! The food and the beer was very good indeed!I remember going before the refit and it was a real spit and sawdust boozer! Now the place is clean, fresh with great lighting and seating and has a real cosy feel.Nice meal out and pleased that they do Beavertown! Good selection of bar snacks!Doesn’t take American Express.

Been in a few times since it's refurbishment last year. Been done out great.Drink is always good, but today popped in with the Mrs and had a bite to eat.Well the food was lush.I had pork stottie, gravy n chunky chips. Just the ticket on a cold day. Pork was tender and the gravy was well tasty.We'll be back for more food for sure. Staff very welcoming as is the real fire!

Had heard good things about the Sunday lunches so thought we would give it a try. A bit disappointed to be honest, very average meal, small portions on a long thin plate to give the illusion it is a much bigger portion. One piece of carrot, one piece of broccoli and 2 small pieces of beef, no offer of extra gravy or any condiments at all. Tasty enough but wont rush back.

Absolutely best Sunday dinner of the year, parking isn't great round the area but it's worth a visit.

An excellent place to have a drink and a meal. Great staff, who are constantlyl cleaning down the table. Great job guys!
