Davantis in North Tyneside

Placed booking for Sunday lunch 3pm 19 Dec 21. The restaurant was closed on arrival..no one contacted to say.. very disappointed

Food was bland and mediocre, pizza was very soggy. Waitet 50 mins for starters and the table wasn't clear before they brought the mains overall I really bad experience.

The food was okay, I'm not sure why you'd serve stuffing with a beef roast though. The service was very slow, 15 minute wait from sitting down to getting an order. Other guests appeared to be getting a more welcome reception from staff. No serviettes or cutlery on our table but waiter seemed okay with putting them out on the tables without guests. They didn't offer sauces or drink refills when they came out with the beef dinner. We did not stay for dessert. Also I had to ask twice for the card machine to be brought over.

Bit disappointed with the pizza, and a person I went with also said their main was disappointing. Other than those two meals everyone enjoyed their food. Pricing is a bit on the expensive side unless you go for the two or three course menu which is good value. Service was friendly and fast.

Visited Davanati today. Four of us for lunch. Ordered food which was ok but couldn't say it was beautiful. Only noticed when the waiter came with the food how dirty he was, his tie, shirt and trousers were really dirty. It totally put me off wanting to eat my food. I then looked at the second waiter when he brought the mains and he was splattered with food and had a massive hole in his shirt under his arm and all his armpit hair was poking through. I felt so sick. We asked for small Pepsi drinks but they brought us large and then charged us £3.50 for them. I will not visit again.

Brilliant food, good service and a fair price for the quality of food.

What a hidden gem! Waiting for our shuttle back to our cruise ship. My husband loves Italian pasta and happened to see this restaurant. Fabulous, classic Italian food. Right by the train station! Loved every bite! Highly recommend!!

I loved how fresh and large the seafood is. This is the only resutrant I visited in this town, and I am so glad I stopped by because the taste of the fettucine was the closest to original Italian food that I have ever had in the UK.

Good food for the price on the 2 & 3 courses menu. Frienldy staff , nice atmosphere.

Good! Like the soup of the day and mozzarella rice balls very much. The chicken arrabbiatta is too bland for me.
