Elder and Wolf in North Tyneside

Great eatery in Whitley bay. Music is a little on the loud side, but that's probably my old ears😃. Food was excellent, arrived promptly and was really tasty. Drinks were great.

We went in for a quick dinner before a booking elsewhere for wine tasting. Let the staff know who fast tracked our food and drinks order to within 40 minutes of entering and leaving. The food and drinks were both absolutely amazing!

What an amazing find!This place is like the complete opposite of a chain restaurant. It is different, it is a bit quirky, and from what I could tell, appears to be a family run place, so that's the level of service you get.Most things seem to be cooked in a wood fired oven. They do pizza's, kebabs and tachos.We went for the chicken and chorizo taco, and the lamb and chicken flatbread kebab. They were amazing.Throw into the mix some great beers and drinks, and really friendly staff, and you have a pretty amazing experience.Most certainly worth a visit, and I will most certainly be back.Many thanks to you all.

Lucked in on a walk-in, with no prior expectation. Wow, impressive or what? Initially disappointed we were perched on a bar by the entrance, it was a busy Friday night so to be expected, we were treated to the theatre of two talented and enthusiastic chefs knocking out unbelievable quantities of freshly prepared food with precision and speed. Turns out we had the best seats in the house! I had the lamb kofta kebab, and shouldn't really have eaten it all, but when food is this good... A mention for the servers, they are mega friendly and really lift the experience to a level so rarely reached. From our viewpoint I could tell this was a popluar spot for a younger crowd, and I'm many decades from that category, but we enjoyed the buzzy atmosphere and music. Can't wait to return when we're next in the area.

Paid a little visit to Elder and Wolf and wasn't disappointed the cocktail ( Rumberry ) was delicious and ordered the Portuguese Chicken Kebab looked great when it came and tasted even better ( one of the best I have tasted ) the staff were very friendly and would highly recommend this place and would definitely be paying another visit need to try to pizza as they looked yummy

I was so pleased I'd starved myself! The portions are huge and more importantly delicious 😋. Really,take my advice and share, it makes it really good value for money. Service is really friendly and nice and prompt. A thoroughly great night and a great atmosphere. You'll love it

A little on the pricey side for essentially a kebab or pizza but I must say the food is absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked so well and the slaw and halloumi was so good. Well done! We take our hats off!
