The Grand Hotel is an amazing hotel and in such a great location, the beach, the views and the grandeur of the old building. The room was nice and large and the amazing selection of teas from Ringtons is amazing. The full English breakfast was yummy and the staff were friendly. Now the however, the parking is pretty bad, there is not enough parking for the rooms. We couldn't get parked and there was another guest parked across 2 bays, when I raised this at reception nothing was done about it. Which was ashame.Plus whilst the room was spacious and well equipped, it was also really hot. The pack of air conditioning was ashame as having the windows open to try to cool the room meant we had to listen to the Saturday night crowds outside.

Lovely hotel and staff. Our sea view room had fantastic views across the beach and out to sea. Breakfast was delicious (perfect poached eggs). The beach is fantastic. I had a brief dip in the sea (it was quite chilly in April). I had scampi and chips in the hotel's bar - really delicious and highly recommended. We booked the hotel for 2 nights (at the start and end of walking the Hadrian's Wall Path). This was the perfect start and end of our HWP adventure!

Was there for a family meal only, excellent service and lovely food. Lovely views of the beach and sea if you get a window seat. Bit messy outside at the moment with skip, scaffolding and rubbish because of refurb going on.well worth a visit.

Visited here for a family party. I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay but the public rooms are stunning. All staff I encountered were smart & professional. Buffet at party was very good quality. It is a historic hotel in a fantastic location. I worked here many many years ago & it has maintained its standards & raised them over the years. A true asset to the local area.

Lovely hotel. The room we had was comfortable and had a great sea view. Every staff member we talked with was lovely. I'm vegan there was a good selection on the menu in an evening and even a full vegan breakfast which was excellent.

Stayed in a sea view in Laurel House. Wonderful view of the bay, highly recommend the breakfast, enough food for a day. Poached eggs beautifully done. Well appointed room with table and chairs in the bay to sit and watch the world go by and brilliant double glazing that meant no traffic or wind noise. Definitely come back.

Welcoming staff, sublime service and top food which is brilliantly executed consistently. Very well priced and amazing views - as one would expect! More of the same please Grand Hotel!

Being gluten and dairy intolerant usually means any trip for afternoon tea is disappointing but I can highly recommend The Grand. The food was fantastic as was the service. Overall a great place to go where you'll be made to feel welcome.

We had an overnight stay booked with breakfast & afternoon tea on 22/2/22.Service was excellent from start to finish, room was outstanding with fantastic views of Tynemouth Longsands.A massive thank you to Rachael on reception who went above & beyond when we had to change our original date & also the rest of the staff at The Grand keep up the good work. We will definatley be back again in the near future.
